I have been feeling a bit sorry for my local dealer. With the shortage of stock and people driving way less because of working from home, their business has been off a huge amount. So I have been getting my oil changes done there, and really, not a lot worse than the price of doing it at a lube shop. That however ended today, had the 2020 Cherokee in to have the GPS repalced, after waiting 2 months for the new radio to show up. While it was in I asked them to throw in a new Cabin Air filter. We have had a VERY smoky and dusty year and the old one is giving off an unpleasant aroma, despite having only 20,000 klms on it. It was filthy so the change was needed, my issue, 45 bucks for the part and another 30 bucks to throw it in. So not only do they charge me triple what the filter costs at NAPA, they have the balls to charge me 20 minutes labour for a 2 minute job. All that managed to do was convince me to no longer use them for any service work that isn't on warranty. Pretty boneheaded approach in my books.
