OK, after having my fan clutch replaced, my diesel sounds like a school buss, which tells me its locked in an won't release. BUT, for some reason, the other morning I went to work an it was al ot cooler then most morning, , an "it unlocked". couldn't even hear it. Then in the afternoon 94 degrees, there it is again. So here is take. because they work on temp, the cooler outside the better it performs. Just don't know how its going to heat in the winter.

Sounds like the thermal may be messed up and you may still need to replace the clutch again. It shouldn’t be running the entire time and shouldn’t be “locked”. There should still be some slip to it.
