I noticed a difference right away with an 85mm ported TB for my 2012 5.7 in throttle response, might have noticed a slight increase in MPG but I have it paired with the Veraram now and for sure am seeing great gains in throttle response and power! Before I couldn't spin the back tires not sure if the anti spin diff was preventing that but now I can spin the tires. MPGs even better with the intake especially for how much I was gunning it.

The installation is super easy taking taking all of about 15 minutes and you will probably see why a catch can will come in handy, atleast I did when I swapped out my TB and saw the amount of oil at the base of mine. Throttle body is OEM so dealerships can't tell the difference unless they took intake off and held one side by side.

Hope this helps and if your looking for a place to go I recommend Moes because of the great customer service as well as awesome product with fast delivery.

There is a def noticeable difference.
How much? We will know this Monday when we do a bunch of pulls with different variations.
If you are requiring a TB, we certainly carry our line of ported TB's in both 85mm and 87mm and also a catch can and exhaust
I would certainly do the catch can prior to the exhaust if its one or the other.
But I can work you out a bundle to see if it fits within your budget and take it from there.

This post is right on the money.

You want to make sure that you get the correct throttle body for your mods though. If you aren't planning to add headers, then the 85mm is a better option for you. The extra airflow from the 87mm only helps if you can get that air out just as easily which is where the headers come into the equation.

You are going to feel an instant increase in throttle response, and combined with the Vararam, the power increase is going to be very noticeable as well. You are definitely on the right track with your mods.

What if you are going to do headers later? Should you buy the 85mm until you get headers? I was thinking about buying the 87mm but I was going to get a vararam and a catch can before headers. Headers would be later (maybe 6 months to a year).

We have tested the 87mm on stock trucks, and they did see gains. It actually performs very close to the 85mm on a stock truck. Once you add the headers and can make full use of that extra airflow is where the 87mm really starts to shine. If you know the headers are in your future, then I would go straight to the 87mm. It is much cheaper to go that route than to buy the 85mm now, and then have to sell it and upgrade to the 87mm down the road.

Matt, you've been saying for a while that the 2013 should ONLY have the 87mm. Something change?

i had the 87MM on mine before I installed my LT's. switching from a Fastman 85MM to Moe's 87MM made a noticeable difference to me. adding the headers compliments the 87MM TB very well

I missed that the OP has a 2013. The overall size and shape of the 2013 TB did not work as well on the 85mm port shape. For the 2013's, the 87mm is the only way to go.
