Is anybody using the throttle booster on the Diablo ???
I recently switched back to an HF tune and I bumped the throttle booster up to 20%. Not sure if it's the tune or not but the truck feels much better to drive. This is the fifth header tune we have done , only because we have been playing with the aggression of the tranny. Right now it feels excellent, not to compare, but it is more aggressive than my Greene tune. Gonna have to get a more aggressive shift schedule from Jay and see how that is. Just curious if anyone else is playing with throttle booster......

Sean sets it up 20% in the tune, but you can always raise it higher with the handheld or just ask him to do it as well. Going higher will make it more responsive, but it usually comes at the expense of worse mileage.

My tunes make it much harder to hit a 2p downshift and often will feel like bogging. My preference would be to have unhappy customers vs transmission issues. Because I have learned explaining driving edict for a 6 speed doesn't work.

Jay
Why should someone have to modify their driving style to account for a weakness in the transmission?!?!?! You should be able to tune it out so they can drive it how they WANT to with zero issues [/SARCASM] Get with the program Jay! :beatdeadhorse5:

Ok, so the one thing I am not concerned with is mileage, as we all know this is a truck. As far shifting goes , I don't hammer down unless I'm in (3) already. Been through one tranny already. Learned the hard way. But having this knowledge I feel a little more confident with this tranny. I will shoot you an e mail and see if we can make the shifts more aggressive. Like I said I went through about six tunes with Sean until we got it where I like it. So , if Sean sets the booster up 20% and I add the additional 20% on the handheld, this is ok?? Jay, do you do the same with the booster??

My i2 tuner actually has a max of 20%, but that may because of the custom Procharger SC tune. It was off then I set it to 20%, but really didn't notice much a difference honestly.

Trinity also has a max of 20%, I noticed a difference with regular driving, it seems a little more snappy.

The procharger is the restriction to the system and responds differently compared to the N/A engines. You can be at 100% open on the throttle blade but until the engine RPM picks up enough to start building boost it's not as instant compared to N/A. Centrifugals have that lag, can't get away from it, and the D1SC is worse since it's more top end and a larger compressor wheel ... but when it does come on :rocking:
