Tis the season to wire in heated seats right. When I reskinned my seats I put heat pads in. I didn't wire them in, then it got cold. Didn't want to work in the cold. I got a couple days vacay so I'm trying to tackle it now. I'm running auxiliary back up led pods on the same set of power wires. My question is where should I get power from that won't draw if the truck is off. I don't want to have to worry about switching the seats off when I get out. I was thinking about running a relay like I ran my intercooler pump on my Grand Prix.

smart man use a relay. depending on the current draw of the seats you may want to run a direct line to the battery. let the relay trigger when the ignition comes on and then to the heated seats from there.

I'd run a new line for power and relay that power. What would be really neat is if you could tap into a circuit with the relay that also turns on your heat. I know I wouldn't want the seat to be heated all the time. Food for thought anyways.

I was thinking about tapping the radio power wire, that way the seats would stay powered for a few extra minutes.
