QTP I just had one installed into my truck. I have ARH mag a flow 16869 cat back and had this welded in the little bit of stock pipe that was left. Pic below... I just need to wire it up as I am awaiting another part for my stereo so I can install at same time. Can't wait to hook it up and listen to the rumble. Very soon...killin me lol.

One of my more favorite mods for sure. I'm running dual QTPs myself but there are a few other brands out there with different designs that are less prone to failure but take up a lot of real estate. I just rebuilt mine after 2 years but I'm moving a LOT more air than most people.

Yes sir! I too am QTP (with Magnaflow combined) :favorites13:

Now right now I all I have is a cold air intake and throttle body spacer both by Volant. And I had a exhaust shop just cut out the old muffler and replace it with a 1 chamber flow master with a programmer. Love the tone and the sound. Just want it louder. The shop says there is nothing else I can do to make it louder. That can't be true right? I'm trying to stay as legal or "as close to" legal as I can here in Cali. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, the cutouts are not legal in Cali... I didn't weld anything in, just clamps. The piece of pipe that was cut out is sitting in my garage for when I need to remove the cutout and clamp in the piece of pipe to pass smog.

Does those clamps hold up pretty well? And how soon before the muffler? Does it matter?

It's been a while now and no problems at all... It doesn't matter exactly where it sits. I just chose a spot that was convenient for placing the QTP motor and easy to access.

Where did you end up mounting the switch? And is there a big difference with it closed vs. open?

See pic for switch placement. There's a HUGE difference between closed and open, especially at wot.

I scored two ebay cutouts with y pipes for $100 last week. The ****** is already rattlin. I keep it open 98% of the time, only close it during phone calls really.

Will be getting a Doug's Headers Electric Exhaust Cutout Kits DEC300A-1 or QTP Cutout to replace it here soon
