Just wanted to ask those with the Vararam what you did with that big gap thats left behind where the stock air box was.

Im going to be ordering my Vararam soon and wanted to ask you all that have it if that space looks awkward now?

Anyone with pics of that area?

I think it actually makes the engine bay look cleaner. If you wanted to fill the gap, you could always throw a 2nd battery under the hood. Me personally, I would just leave it open. You will appreciate the extra working space under the hood.

Maybe you could put in a paper mache balloon a yellow one with a smilie face on it. haha

The less crap under the hood the better IMO.

I like the space but I wouldn't mind a second battery there and I also still kept my engine cover

I can take a pic of that area of my truck tomorrow. But what Matt said is dead on. I have left that space empty and have only gotten compliments. Prior to having the VR, no one ever said anything. But now that I have the VR, my engine cover is off, and I have that big gap...everyone can see the Hemi and basically ***** themselves at how big it is.

Even my girlfriend's dad stood out by my truck with me last week and was looking under the hood and said he loved the way the Hemi looks. And he then went on to tell me about how he had a Charger in the late 60s and that it reminded him of the Mopar spirit.

So yea...just leave that spot empty lol

Vararam customer support rocks! I've said that multiple times. I've also said that to really feel the benefit of a good CAI, you need a tune. That being said, on my G8 I felt no real difference between the Vararam and the old CAI I had except at higher speeds (highway). I did tune for the Vararam though.

Yea chewy i thought the same thing as far as the tune goes..I had the vararam on my 10' C6 and it worked great..Didn't see the gains that they did as they claimed 3tenths intake only and i picked up 3tenths with the vararam,ARH longtubes, and a re-tune,But there was no arguing that it was gonna get cold air and only cold air lol!!

Beautiful man!
You running it in parallel to the other battery?
Are they the same battery?

I don't want to hijack the thread. Here is a thread with the whole install.

The Batteries are different for now. I'll eventually replace the main battery with one that has top AND side posts so I can move the factory terminals to the side posts and have the tops open for "accessories".
