Hey all. First time poster. Received my 2025 Tradesman Quad Cab last week and looking for advice on a cover. Pretty much set on a hard trifold. Only experience I've had was with an Extang solid fold. Lasted 15 years on my Silverado. They don't make that version anymore. Anyhoo, couple I am considering are the Bakflip MX4 and the Undercover Armor Flex. They seem pretty similar except for the coating on the Armor Flex. Seems lest prone to dents and scratches. Any advice, positives and negatives. and especially long term results. Thanks for having me and have a great day

I have a cheap trifold so can’t help you but would say be sure to check with the forum vendors before buying.
Nick @ GotExhaust has helped me many times, awesome customer service & very knowledgeable!

I put a Bakflip MX4 on my 2500. The only tonneau I've ever owned, but I'm pretty satisfied with it. If I had done more research and wanted to spend more money I would have saved and gotten a DiamondBack. Not that there's anything I don't like about the Bakflip. It's just that the Diamondback would have been a better option for the things I wanted it for.

Bakflip are hard to beat...

I have one on my 2012 Silverado that was installed new. It's showing some wear, but not much for the age, miles (245k), and abuse...it was an HD version they sold back then and it's really heavy.

My parents installed one on their 2019 Ram and it is light as a feather, no issues with it although it doesn't seem nearly as HD as mine (a black walnut from a tree left a dent). But otherwise, fit, finish, and function are good.

There are several great options but I will say the MX4 outsells every other hard trifold by far. It is a high quality option, looks great, sits flush, and is made to last.

We can help with just about any brand cover and offer great forum pricing on them. Please feel free to message me for a quote
