So the 5/100 warranty just expired on my 2013 Outdoorsman and it’s time to wake this truck up a little. My truck has the awesome (insert green font) 6 speed so I’m thinking an upgraded torque converter should be first. My thinking is this will add life to my trans and give me the biggest realized torque increase. Next will be 35’s, and upgrade my 3.55 to 4.56. It will be incremental as cash is limited but I think this will give the biggest returns while lowering stress on the truck and extending lifespan. Anything I’m not thinking about or other suggestions?

I had a 13 Ram 1500 with the Hemi and installed an Edge 2600-2800 Tq cov. in it. Made an impressive difference in the acceleration. My suggestion would be, contact Matt at Moe's Performance and talk to him about your expectations and your driving habits(do you tow a lot etc). He can suggest the best tq cov. for your particular driving style. Your gear change will give you the most increase in acceleration, especially going from a 3.55 to 4.56. There are a number of things you can do to increase the longevity of your 6 speed trans once you start modding your truck. Your 6 speed will be the weak link in your modding process. You didn't mention a tuner, if you don't have one I would certainly put that on your list. A Diablo tuner with a Hemifever custom tune would certainly wake your truck up and would complement your other proposed mods.

Stay away from CircleD; I got their multi-disc $1200 torque converter and it was junk. Bucking and slamming into gear under light throttle, loud screeching noises, check engine light, and would barely squeak the tires with 410 gears. $1220 + $500 install + $500 to take it out = 8 day Nightmare.
