Hopefully this isn't a stupid question, It's my first truck, and I just want to make sure. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. I am currently looking to upgrade the mirrors to OEM towing mirrors. I have found two listings near me on Kijiji. One says it it will fit 2009 to 2016, the other says it is off a 2012, but will fit a 2009 to 2019. They both appear identical, but I am unsure if these will fit my truck. Can someone provide some clarification as to how far back (what is the oldest year) the mirrors will fit for a 2019 Classic? Thanks in advance

If looking at used mirrors, you want ones from '13 and newer trucks as I believe the temperature sensor is in the driver mirror.
You might want to check out 1A Auto as they carry Trail Ridge replacement mirrors, you can get OEM looking tow mirrors that have all your options included power fold.

Thanks. those look factory. I might actually order from there. Do they sell the support brackets as well? Or would that be a dealer item?

Me and my son both got ours from 1A Auto. They do not sell the support brackets but @AllMoparParts.com on here sells them. We goth them through him. Another member just said the other day that they have a 2019 Classic and 1A told them they do not have a mirror for their truck but not sure why? Maybe a plug mismatch issue?

But yes, like was said above, after 2012 they put the ambient temp sensor in the drivers mirror so they need to be off a 2013 or newer.

My son was in a position to have to buy a truck in 1 week and tow his camper a week later so we were in a rush trying to find tow mirrors. I called and at that time there were only 10 sets in the country and they were backordered until at least November. Early December I called again and then there were only 6 sets left and they were backordered until at least April. I called 3 of those places and 1 had 1 mirror missing from the set, 1 refused to sell them, and 1 couldn't confirm they were power fold so we went with the Trail Ridge at 1A Auto.

Story on my sons truck was he had a company truck and was living in his camper near the job site. His boss told him he had to be in North Dakota 1500 miles away the following week and they were not allowed to tow with a company vehicle so he had 1 week to find a truck. He ended up buying the clip ons to get to North Dakota but then ordered the Trail Ridge after he got there.

Here are pics of my Trail Ridge. We have no complaints or issues. My step-son just bought a set for his 2020 Tundra too and likes them.

The brackets are an OEM item you can get through the dealer, or online at someplace like moparwholesaleparts.

Those brackets are necessary to support the towing mirrors and provide additional bracing especially because you pivot the mirrors up and down which places additional stress on the mounting holes.

Make sure you also get the rivnuts and bolts necessary as they have to be installed in three places in each door to anchor the brackets.

Look at items 9,10 & 11 for part numbers on this page...
You need a left and right bracket, 6 rivnuts and 6 hex head screws total...

@AllMoparParts.com has the brackets and the rivnuts and screws. Everything you need. Look him up. He is a member on here. It's all OEM stuff too
