Wanted to see how many like the tow mirrors up or down on our trucks. I’ve read lots about “those dodge/ram guys with their tow mirrors”. I hav mine up ALL the time, of course I’m at 9” plus the 37’s over stock. The mirrors help me out lots, not just for looks.

I keep mine down, don’t care for the look being up. I find the blind spot reduced with them being down.

Different strokes, live and let live, but I'm solidly in nlambert182's camp. Up when towing, otherwise down. Plus, when they are up, they stick out 4 or 5 inches wider. In town lane clearance is limited anyway, if they were up, they would get tagged more often then they do down

I keep them down unless towing a big enough trailer that they are needed. Typically don't use them on my flatbed car hauler because it's not wide and tall so that it blocks the view. As mentioned previously they stick out too far and cause clearance issues....pulling in the shop, parking, etc...

Same... I only have them up when towing my snowmobile trailer. It's 102" wide, 6' high box (v-nose) and 28' long. Tow mirrors are an absolute requirement. When towing my 14' utility trailer, they are down.

At first I didn't care for the new tow mirrors (2025), now I wish my 2024 had them.

I keep mine down unless needed. Which I only use them when towing my TT for any length of time, leave them down if I am just moving to and from storage and my driveway.

I am going to have to pay attention to the blind spot issue, I don't think I have ever noticed that with mine. Probably just the way I like to keep them adjusted.

I have had to run them up on 2 different occasions and hated it. I will always leave them down if I can still see around the trailer.

I haven't had tow mirrors on a Ram since 2016 (2015 Tradesman). I put them up once, thought it looked funny, and never put them up again. Since I never towed with that truck it wasn't a big deal. I'd probably use them if I had them and regularly towed. And I'd probably forget they were up and drive around with moose ears for days, until someone said something about it. Some of you guys put way too much thought into proper tow mirror usage. :D

I find I can see better with them down, only up when towing. I get a wider field of vision when down and in constant 4 lanes of traffic every second of warning someone is crossing multiple lanes is critical with the numnuts out there at 5 am.

I'm in the same boat as Tron. I can see more with my mirrors down than up (unless I need to see around a trailer), so it just never made sense to me to leave them up. Plus... at least around here.... about the only people you ever see with them up are the "bros" with 24" deep dish wheels with rubber bands and the Carolina squat going on.

Always down unless pulling a big trailer. Firstly they look hideous up, secondly they stick out too far up, thirdly, i can see better with them down.

The blind spot issue is 10x worse with my 2024 than my 2014 (same mirrors). Why? Because some moron decided to raise them up an inch or so for the stupid cameras (which I don't have on a Limited, but that's another story).

Moose mode for me all the time. I tow several times a year, mirrors are manual, a complete pain the read end to adjust every time. Also, blind spot is much better when they're up and parking at work is much easier with them up. Do I look like a dork every day? Probably. Do I find the mirrors way more functional up? Yes. Do I make the payments on my truck? Yes... :D
