So I purchased a 2025 Bighorn on 2/14 and drove home, 44 miles on the odometer, truck would not start and towed back to dealer. Got the truck back on 2/17 and all went well until a few days later when the CEL happened. So on 2/20, back to dealer where the High current fuse array and PCM were replaced. I got the truck back on 2/25 and tonight 3/2 the truck died while I was stopped at an intersection. Truck was towed to dealer and I am quickly losing my trust in the Ram brand.

swap it for a Classic with a 5.7 hemi 2025 rams appear to be having alot of issues specificallythe 6 cylinder ones. Then again ALL BRANDs 2024-25 having a ton of issues its not just ram its a industry wide issue i work at a dealer.

The more complicated they make ALL of these newer vehicles the more problems a person is going to have with them. Yes a warranty with a new vehicle is nice, but how good does that warranty make a person feel when their high priced vehicle is sitting at the dealership waiting to be fixed/waiting on parts (paying on a vehicle you can't even drive).

Electronics are a *****. Hope they get your truck straightened out quickly.

I was browsing the reliability ratings in the latest Consumer Reports. Interestingly they showed reliability ratings peaked in 2023 (e-torque and all) and then started back down in 2024 (electrical and engine went down). The 2025s are too new to rate. I suspect the decline in 24 may be due to the electrical harness issues (too short) I’ve read about.

Just me, and PPL keep asking me, (FTR, I usually only keep a vehicle 5 years at most, this truk be literally 7 years old in April, built April 2018), why do I keep my 2019, and not buy a 2025. LOCAL dealership keeps emailing me to "buy" a 2025, 1st was Laramie at 72K, next Rebel at 64K. Had to put that dealership onto spam folder status. FTR, not my dealership, I drove 1 1/2 hours away and bought my BH in Aug 2018.

ADDED: Like the look and setup of the 2025 Rebel. Ahhhhhhhhh, MA Mopar (aka Stellantis), THROW a Hemi (Non E TQ) back in there, that would make me at least "pause". No way buy stupid over complicated mini displacement 3.0 with (2) stupid turbos, real stupid electric pump turbo cooling, plastic thermostat housing, screwed electronics, and and, roflmao. YUP, my 2019 BH stay where she be. Everybody do wat works for you, this works fer DA BOIRD.

OP, KEEP great, good concise records to include any emails, correspondence notes, maintenance records, etc, if U are even thinking of going buy back or Lemon Law, but depends upon yer state laws. Maybe yer dealership do you right.

I also have a 1500 Bighorn it has been in and out of the shop. Dealer has had more in last 2 months than I have. 2 different times it has revved up when applying the brake. Once backin march and just did it again earlier this week. Has anyone else had this happen. They have replaced most of major electronics. A definite lemon but Illinois has 12000 mile limit. I’ve had this truck 11 months 17000 miles on it
