Well today I had 4 tpms sensors fitted at main dealership part numbers 68249197AA while there for other unrelated work on my 2015 Ram 1500.

After about an hour of driving evic still didnt show/register anything, just -- for each corner. Moral of the story, dont by parts from muppets on ebay . I had originally bought these in October, so SOL for their 30 day return period. Now, if I had bought them from a main dealer online then my current dealer could have replaced them he said.

They brought their tpms machine tool out ( after I did a 20 mile drive to relearn tpms) and they noted that one sensor was not sending out data but the other three were. I did ask the dealership to check sensors prior to install and they claim they did and it all worked, although I only saw them bring one out of the bag in front of me. Sensors were genuine and sealed "clear" bag sourced from Source 1 Auto Parts via ebay. So all in all been a **** Ram 1500 month, 2 things out of 2 still not fixed. Homelink and now this.

I got no idea man, he merely said ( and he didnt charge me yet ) that if I can supply him the receipt that shows it was purchased from a main FCA dealer then he can warranty the part.

Unfortunately for me the part was not sourced from an online registered FCA dealership. So I guess I have to buy one. But not sure why the other three are not registering.

I hope it has nothing to do with what occured a few weeks ago, unrelated to todays dealership trip.
A few weeks ago I had my initial visit for my longstanding homelink issue on my truck, during their routine protocols they flashed the pcm and tcm, when I got the truck back it miraculously showed PSI on each for tires even though my wheels didnt have tpms sensors in them. After about a day and about 50 miles of drivng, the next day it all went back to dash dash not registering . Their pcm or tcm update ( my theory ) must have tricked? the system into thinking sensors were there. I mentioned this to them, but they had no idea how the system worked it.

Yes, the figures were almost or maybe exactly what my tires were at , three were 41 and one was 40 psi LOL, which makes matters even more confusing at the time.

But that was before they fitted the tpms sensors, remember all they did was pcm and tcm update.

So I am looking at buying a replacement from an actual main dealer online so that the current dealer near me can replace under warranty should they be defective.

Can someone tell me what part number 3 is in this listing. Do I need it?

Chrysler OEM TPMS Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor 68249197AA | eBay

Unless you got a prearranged understanding with your local dealer, they probably will push back on you bringing in your own parts for warranty replacement regardless if OEM or not.

They already installed a set that I bought from somewhere else, but they cannot warrant it should one be defective like it is unless I can show a main dealership receipt.

But none of the sensors are registering on my evic. Their tool shows only one not sending signal but my truck shows **** excuse my French.

Either way dunno I why even bothered getting them installed. Had the parts since last October and been rolling with TPMS error for the last 22k miles LOL

I got oem sensors from the dealer for 50 something bucks. I bought them under the impression they would be able to adjust the threshold for my 35s. Dropped it off and get a call an hour later that they can't do it likely because I have a tradesman.......

Dealer never called me back, almost two.months.

Question. Should I go to another dealership would it show on their system that another dealer was working on mine and refer me back to them?

If I am still tracking correctly, this issue is non-warranty work and another dealership should have no problem picking this up regardless if you started with another dealership.

Regardless, there will be a record in the their system showing the other dealership work but they will probably not punt the ball if you are paying out of pocket customer. If anything does lean to warranty work, they may still work with you if you approach then with a cool attitude.

I have a bad TPMS sensor and recently rotated my tires. It seems that if one of the sensors is not reporting then the system will not re-learn the location as none of my sensors are reporting from their new locations.

Finally a decent answer thank you.

So basically if one of sensors fail as mine is then it's normal for no sensors to report? If so, then I'm good to go.

Hootbro, my warranty work query was in relation to primarily the overhead console. Replaced once still didn't resolve issue. Last thing said was that the dealer was gonna request open a case with FCA. That was 2 months back.

I could have easily been dishonest and told them originally that the sensors were from my original wheels. ... After taking them out of the sealed bag lol !
