Has anyone had a problem or heard of the 2012 Hemi 6 speed jumping into drive when parked and running? Mine ended up in the back of my brothers 13 Ram after I parked behind him. So far it cost me a grill when it hit his sled's track in his box. I may have left it in gear not sure but if I did it usually starts to roll when you get out of the truck. Just wondering if anyone has heard of this before. Don't want to start b*tchin for no reason. Thank's Tux.

Do you have a remote start, and did you start it with a remote start before the accident?

hmm, remote starts, if they took short cuts when installing one (at least with aftermarkets), its possible for it to go in gear was why I asked. Otherwise I'm not sure how that would happen.

JsI6v8; Thanks for the reply. Like I said may be me but wondering if anyone else had this problem. I think I will talk to the dealership to have it on record if this is a problem it is a safety issue. Thanks again Tux. PS We were 80km north of any HWY and -33c my first concern was the rad.

Says it all. Were you in the truck when it happened? I assume not.

I have not had this happen on Ram but Chrysler has some issues with this in the past. I remember on my 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee it happened to me and it was indeed in park. Lucky it hit no one because lot was empty. Later on a recall came out where they fixed the issue which was rare but obviously did happen.

I have never heard of the problem you have, but with how electrical everything is these days, anything is possible.

I do know in my 2010 5 spd truck that when its warm, it dosnt always creep forward when in gear. First truck ive ever owned like this.

Sounds to me like you may have just left it in gear by mistake

Damnit, somebody beat me to the beer joke. So was the beer still in the truck or in hand? Makes me think I should always put brake on when exiting running truck....especially when grabbing another beer!

Can't image it shifted, N and D are a ways back, now Reverse I could believe. Or maybe just electrical issue?

Warm fluid in TC is less viscous, hence less pull. My 2010 barely creeps forward. My 2003 Audi creeps forward or back anytime about 2mph, nice when stuck in traffic...

What gear was it in when you got back in? Drive? You must have left it. Would be impossible for the non-column shifter to do that. You have column? Still takes a lot of movement to go from P to D...
