Ok guys, i have a topic here myself and a few others would like some discussion on and possibly a fix for…so my tcase cracked in my 2004 ram 1500 which has the 244d electric shift in it, this tcase has 2 electrical connectors on it, inadvertently we picked up a NV244d “new venture” tcase to replace it, which only has 1 electrical plug on it….My truck is AWD 4hi/lo select…..based on research the 244d is an AWD with high/low range…the NV244d “new venture “ is 2wd with high/lo range….the casing is the same on both tcases so essentially it will bolt right up…..the big question is will these two tcases interchange? even though the 244d is “all wheel drive 4hi/lo select ” and the NV244d is “2wd 4hi/lo select” and if so what would be needed to make that change?
