Had a 1990 Olds Cutlas Calais, daughter drove over high railroad crossing... cracked the cast aluminum oil pan. She never knew it happened.

I would ask for the pan. Look for yourself if there was any kinda impact there will be marks not just a crack. Also look inside the pan they are a cast part look for imperfections on the casting.

How was it driving/shifting when you took it in or did it get noticed quick and towed in? Catastrophic fluid loss?

2019+ transmission pans on the ZF8 are plastic, not cast.

Ok so injected plastic that could have a bad injection with air pockets even worse. It will also still have a impact mark ad well....

Are you the only one that has ever driven your vehicle without you in it?

Try using a spell check, some pretty simple words misspelled. brake = broke, there = their. The spell check is free to down load, makes you look like a college grad.

Yes I have damaged my OEM PLASTIC pan. Elk hunting I backed up over a juniper stump hidden in tall grass. Lost all fluid within a minute, had to pull the neutral strap and get towed out of a nasty 4wd trail back to camp, go into nearest town (different truck) and picked up the last pan Napa had in stock plus fluid. Had to make 2nd trip the next morning to get a hand pump to fill it and a torx wrench set to get that damn bolt above the exhaust off. let’s just say skid plates were ordered right when I got home after the TT blew a tire on the way. FUN TRIP

This just happened to me in my wife's Explorer last night. We were driving on the interstate and a 6-inch piece of 2x4 got kicked up by the vehicle in front of us, causing it to cartwheel under the Explorer. It hit the trans pan and cracked it.
