Transmission slip? (zf8) 2016 rebel

i have a 2016 Ram rebel 43k miles on it so to begin with I am hearing a whinning noise coming from transmission or torque converter not very loud but noticeable when you give it anykind of throttle underload. now for the bad i was stopped and give it 3/4 throttle hit the first 2-3 gears then got to 4k rpms lost all power unless i let off throttle did it about 4-5 more times all under a heavy load, waited till next day went to drive truck and now its acting as if its fine put in mind no engine light or codes thats why im so stumped any ideas my warrenty runs out in october and not trying to get dicked around at dealership with the relashes anything helps thanks

Reset the TCM and see if it just needed a relearn. These are robust systems and haven't needed to dive into this part of the drive-train yet, but hydraulic pressure solenoid switches can begin to fail prematurely.

You stated a "heavy load", are you towing a trailer? is Tow/Haul being used? Or is this happening under hard acceleration?

Well you should go to the dealer,just to have it in writing about the issues your experiencing. This way it,s on paper documented.Let them put it on their computer and see what they find.
