Problem: So the problem is once i reach 50+ mph, it starts to shake. Though its not terrible at 50, anything above it is worse. Bad to the point i havent seen 70mph in awhile. Also it tends to vibrate when im braking from these speeds or especially going downhill. Its coming from the front end and makes a clicking sound when i turn deep. This is all in 2wd, 4x4 still works.

Solutions tried: Everyone i have asked told me either cvj or u joint. So I replaced the front driver side cvj. The old one had alot of play. Which when removed had some grindings where cv hub meets the differential arm. So we thought we fixed it. Also we took note of the brakes which looked nearly new, same with rotors. This was all driver side. Never checked the u joint.

Am i missing something here? Was it the u joint? Because there isnt one up there i saw?

Check your rotors !!

Uneven wear on your tires .
Bad shocks .
Could have a bubble in your tread of your tires that u haven't seen ..

Would the rotors be causing the truck to vibrate/shake? anything below 50 it drives decent. Side note the rotors only have 35k miles on them, had a shop install slotted rotors, i dont remember the name of them somthing from autoanything.com The tires look fine, even wear, and rotate them every oil change which i do about every 5k miles. Not sure about the shocks, pot holes seem fine. Around town its fine at low speeds. I cant drive on the interstate.

Go get your tires checked for balance, my buddy had his calipers knock some weights off and he couldn't drive above 45 without a serious death wobble.

A modder is never truly done, he is merely delayed!

If the rotors are warped if its in the front it should show some form of shaking in your steeling wheel, and if its in the rear you should feel it in your butt. Based on how low mileage they are I kinda doubt it.

If its not rotors and your tires look good it might ether a front end issue or maybe bad wheel balance. Also mentioned bad shocks can sometimes cause a odd wiggle/vibration.

If you figure it out let me know! I have the same problem. I took the chance and got up to 80 mph. It was almost scary. Might just be my rotors though. If I ever get the money I'll replace them. Or have them turned. My uncle just balanced my tires for me. I thought that was the issue. Guess not. Subscribed.

shaking while driving is usually a notice to rebalance tires, and while braking is usually rotors

Ok so did a bit of research through out the day and well didnt come up with much. Will just say its even worse now than it was sunday. So i swallowed my pride and went to my dads mechanic and told him exactly what i did and the exact problem. So luckily we took it for a drive and he stated the vibration from shaking was the rotors. That they need to be turned but if i turn them i cant put my old pads back on them. (side note the pads are the green ebc? pads). He said an hour or so to turn the fronts. He and the other mechanic think the vibration/shake from higher speeds is coming from the tires needing either to be rebalanced or new. Which is sad because they are nearly new(imo). But i guess ill have a verdict by the end of the week about the exact cause...i hope this helps anyone else. Will repost when i get my truck back.
