So I just put on an S&B CAI and Flowmaster American Thunder catback on my truck yesterday and it sounds and runs sick! I'm also running a 87 DS can tune right now. Will I need to make adjustments to the tune for the added flow? I haven't thrown any codes, it's just a concern.

I'd spent the little extra, and get the Hemi Fever Tunes for life. They're a bargain.

I'm considering getting the 89 tune in a few weeks. Just looking to see if any immediate adjustments are necessary.

You won't necessarily need to make changes to the tune, but I would disconnect the battery for 2 hours.

What you are doing basically is dumbing the computer down to stock set up. Once you reconnect the battery and start driving it will start learning which is nessisary because you now have more air flowing in and out of the engne. If you don't reset the computer you basically have expensive paper weights because the computer doesn't recognize there is more intake and exhaust available.

That makes sense. Will I need to reload the tune or is that good still after that?

Okay. I haven't thrown any codes. Is that just a safety measure?

The computer learns as you drive. You are pretty much just it have it start for scratch when you dis-connect the battery. Do you have to do it, not necessarily but it won't hurt anything.

Cool guys, thanks for the advice. I'll do it when I get back from work.
