New to the forums, and I have a question!

I recently purchased my first Ram. A '13 2500.

I have a buddy who recently sold his '12 1500, and wants to give me his Diablo Trinity tuner. Where it's a used tuner, is there a VIN lock that would prevent this from happening? Or an issue where it has already been in a truck? I couldn't find an answer on Diablo website.

Thanks in Advance!

I believe you’ll have to contact Diablo and buy a new license for your VIN in order to use it. The Trinity can be used on mulitple vehicles, but you’ll need a license for each one.

You need to insure that the tuner is "unmarried" to his vehicle. You should be able to see that on one of the screens. Contact Hemifever for tune information--he is a tuner and vendor on the forum.

Ask him if he returned his truck to stock with the tuner. If so, plug it into your truck and see if it boots up and is ready to install a tune.
