Turbo noise

I have a 2025 Ram laramie with the 3.0 I6 Hurricane SO. When I shut the truck off I can hear a noise, like an electric motor running. It's on the driver side and sounds like it maybe is coming from the turbos. I know there is some kind of turbo cooler and maybe that's what I'm hearing, but it runs for almost 20 minutes, even when the truck isn't hot. I've had numerous electrical issues and the truck has been in the shop 4 time with both batteries being replaced. The shop macs try telling me its engine fan noise but I know it's not. You must stick your head over top of tire and listen real close to hear it. Anyone else notice this or maybe can educate me on what the heck it is? Thank You Much
EDIT _ I went out this morning at 45 degrees and started the truck and then immediately shut it off. The engine still cold and whatever is making the noise ran for almost 20 minutes on a cold engine. Im at a loss.

Don't remember if it's oil or coolant but there is an electric pump that stays running for a while to cool down the turbos. 20min seems like a long time but I'm 90% sure that's what you're hearing.

It may be both - water and oil pumps. I remember some discussion previously but not all the details.

Luckily, no issues with my truck, but I know how when you have problems, every little thing gets amplified. As said above, it's likely the coolant circulating to cool the turbos.

Don't remember if it's oil or coolant but there is an electric pump that stays running for a while to cool down the turbos.

It's just the coolant that's pumped around after the truck is turned off, the EcoDiesel has the same setup for it's turbo.
It's probably turned off based on EGT temperature. It's primary purpose is to keep the oil from getting cooked

Thank you guys for the response. I'm pretty sure the turbos are cooled with water and oil. I also think 20 minutes is excessive. It was actually 18 and a half minutes ( I timed it 2 times ) so I exaggerated a little but even with that it seems excessive.

Is there anything in the owners handbook that talks about this? It seems to be an important issue.

I've seen several articles that talk about it. Only thing I've found in the manual is this, but this is specifically talking about the RHO.

"After completing an event that has generated a lot of heat in the powertrain, this feature helps cool the vehicle after the engine has been shut down. The radiator fan and low temperature radiator coolant pump remain on after engine shutdown for a period up to five minutes or until target temperature is reached."

Wonder if it is longer than the 5 minutes?

Thank you. I can't find anything in the manual and for sure it's not the radiator fan that I am hearing. I went to the dealer today to have a mechanic listen to it but the only mechanic there on a Saturday is the lube guy.

My 26 Tungsten does that occasionally.

Never bothered timing/looking into it.

Only way to find out if everything is functioning properly is to verify target temperature and if that that is the reason why the system stays on for so long.

Sounds like yours might be running for max time regardless of the conditions the truck sees. I wonder if there is a software update that addresses it.

They did some kind of software update when it was in the shop but it still runs for 18 to 20 minutes after I shut it off.
