So I upgraded from the RA3 radio to the UAQ. With the RA3, I had items like heated seats and daytime running lights, etc. options all working. I installed the UAQ radio. The heated seats work, but no soft keys (these are not factory heated seats). The daytime running lights option is still showing in the radio, but they do not come on like before.

Also, after in the UAQ radio install, I installed a heated steering wheel. Everything works perfect on that including the soft key in the radio.

My question is, do I need to go through the AlphaOBD and "reset" all the options like DRL's, heated seats, etc? Or is this just an issue because it's a Panasonic and not Harmon like the RA3?

I think Ive read that the UAx series radios take a bit of time to "get" the BCM configuration.

I would give it a few days/drive cycles before declaring it not working.

I read that too. I've also read that once the SXM radio button appears that it's been linked to the BCM. The SXM button has appeared already. I installed the radio Friday, so I figured everything would be reset by now. Thanks for the response.

Has anyone got their non-factory installed heated seats "soft keys" to show up on their UAQ radio?

Where do you get the (4) digit pin?

Best bet is to try your dealer PARTS desk (NOT service).

You'll need license and registration....some people have gotten it free, some dealers insist they cant give it out and some will give it out if you pay them.

There is also a PIN Puller app on the Google Play Store, the app is free but a credit to pull your PIN is $15.

I have been though this and Ram says the dealer has to give it to you if you have proper I>D and they can only give out 15 per day according to Ram. If you pay the guy is putting it in his pocket.

Agreed. And Im not sure why FCA limits how many per day (if they even do), unless they really dont trust their dealers.

So I got the PIN and did the RF Hub reset. No soft keys appeared for heated seats on the radio. How long should it take for them to show up?

It can take a few key cycles.
I would also maybe Disable and enable the CSM for the heated seats in the BCM

I'm assuming you're talking about doing the disable and enable in AlphaOBD? Are you talking about these 2 options? In had the soft keys show up before on my RA3 radio.

Well with the help of another member here on this forum having the same issues as me, he discovered one option on AlphaOBD that needed to be enabled for heated seats. This was the "cabin net - HSM heated seat module". I tried it last night and the soft keys for heated seats showed up on my UAQ radio this morning.
