Uconnect 8.4 & 8.4an update - 17.11.07

I did the update Sunday, went as expected to include losing all my presets for sxm and BU Camera washout. Just did the factory reset like wangatang posted and cam is back to normal.
Still not impressed with this "update".

According to that site, and the fact that artist/song info was working, it should work. It has since stopped showing artist/song info after the 17 update.

I'm using a Google Pixel XL.

Did you delete the pairing from your phone first? If not, do that and when re-pairing to Bluetooth be sure to answer "yes" to the permissions requested by your radio during the pairing process.

For anyone having issues with this update I highly suggest doing the factory reset and power cycling at least 3-5 times.

I did the factory reset and did delete the pairing from my phone and headunit. It did ask for permission which I answered yes.

OK what if the song file is actually on your phone locally instead of streamed? Do you get album info then?

My wife sent me a text while I was in the truck, the announcement is much quieter now, it doesn't match the listening volume.

Anyone else notice this?

Adjust the volume while the announcement is playing using the volume knob. I noticed all my different volumes were really low after the update so I had to turn all of them back up.

Don't know. I don't keep any music on my phone locally. I stream everything. I have a Plex server at my house that stores all my music/movies. Even streaming from that I get no song info. Nor does it work with Slacker or iHeartRadio.

I have a RA3 in my 2014 and I just did the 17. update on my truck a couple of days ago.

Our Uconnect engineers identified that some 2014 owners were experiencing issues downloading the update. At this time they have removed the update from the website for this vehicle population. As soon as we have more information regarding a fix and/or when the update is live again we will let you know!

So far I'm liking this update. My only gripe which is pretty minor has to do with the iPod control. It used to be if you changed songs it would default to whatever category that you last used (artist/playlist/etc). I use playlists and now it defaults to artist which means I have to hit playlist every single time I change songs. Doesn't sound like a big deal but while driving it's just one extra step that I didn't have to do before. But so far it's not glitchy and the movable icons are pretty nice.

Lol, I have a similar situation but in a positive way. I always hit "shuffle" every time I started my truck and now it remembers this setting...

Overall it feels snappier especially with the Bluetooth connection and the rearview camera picture is improved over the last update. I'm also quite a few days in with accurate NAV and clock displayed so I'm happy so far too.

Update complete. Factory reset fixed washed out back up cam as expected. My uconnect account seems wiped, says unregistered. I'll fiddle with that later . At the moment all media apps blown away. Oh well. But so far so good. Time to redo all settings and put icons in a logical order. I like tbe blue theme..
