UConnect Access App question

About 2 weeks ago, the app on my iPhone started randomly opening when I either; start the truck, plug the phone in and when I enter the truck after remote starting. It didn't always do it, like I said just started. Anyone know why and/or how to make it stop opening automatically?

There is another thread similar to this one and the member also has an iPhone. I have a Samsung galaxy s7 and this doesn't happen....but besides opening the app on the phone does it do anything else?

Mine as well does this, I have an iPhone. Not sure why but it did it right after the newest update

I bought my truck in Dec. never did it until about 2 weeks ago. Doesn't do anything, just opens the app to the login prompt.

Hi everyone,

I have an update for you! In regards to the Uconnect Access App launching on its own once you enter your vehicle, it is architect intent for the vehicle Head Unit to Auto Launch the App once the phone is Bluetooth paired to the vehicle. This feature is unique to the Apple product. Our development team is aware of this concern and is actively working to provide an update that will include the option to disable this feature. I will be sure to post updates on this thread as I receive them, thank you for your patience!

The App also launched when I plug the phone into the charger. Like AI said, before this just started a few weeks ago.

I've notice the same thing on my IPhone 7.

2 weeks ago my Galaxy 7 started going into auto notification "I'm driving right now and will get back to you", never did this before, I went nuts checking all phone and truck settings.This explains why, hope they fix it soon, I have to manually remove the auto notification every time I start up.

Hi Buckfat,

Unfortunately we generally don't receive information regarding future updates for our Uconnect systems ahead of time. If I do hear anything, especially about the Uconnect Access App auto-loading, I will be sure to post it here!

Apparently there was a uconnect app updated that dropped yesterday. I saw that i had some updates to do in itunes, clicked on it and was excited to see the uconnect app with yesterdays date. So i did the update..........and it still does the same thing......

I guess this updated didt fix this bug. Even though the "reason for update" said "bug fixes"

Hi everyone,

We have released a new Uconnect app on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, it is simply called the Uconnect App. The new Uconnect App combines the functionality of the Uconnect Access and the SiriusXM Guardian app into one universal app. The old apps (Uconnect Access and SiriusXM Guardian) will eventually be discontinued, requiring you to update to the new universal Uconnect App. The good news is that this new app should not auto load when you enter your vehicle!
