FYI, my radio is still at 17.43.01, and I am now getting a new message basically saying "watch out for a new update message, stay tuned....". At least it isn't the previous message "update now, or at a preset time" that never worked right. I'm just hoping Uconnect posts the latest software online soon, so I can do a manual update via USB. I did that for the 17.43.01 update and it worked fine.

Same here. Glad I'm not the only one that got that message and it's still not working.....

They might install 17.43.01, but that is NOT THE UPDATE this thread is referring to.

Not saying YOU are wrong, but THEY are wrong. Very interested to know what update you end up with (if any).

FWIW, I installed 17.43.01 on my own without issue. I believe the USB form of their updates is pretty solid, the bricking is usually from a failed OTA. And honestly Im not even sure how many are relaly BRICKED, versus dealers/Uconnect/whoever knowing the system enough to figure out how to get out of it.

I have the website download of 17.43 on a USB ready to go, but didn't know if I could do that w/out messing it all up. Is this what you did when OTA upgrade failed ? and lastly after you had 17.43 installed, did you get the OTA pop-up again to upgrade to 18 ? thnx.

I transplanted an RA4 into my truck (originally had an RA3). The donor truck was a late build 2017 RAM 1500. The RA4 from it came with 17.25.03 on it (weird number, but thats what it was).

I didnt get any OTA notifications for it, it seems once you change a radio out like that, Uconnect no longer has any idea of your radio, so I wouldnt get OTA notifications anyway.

I ended up downloading 17.43.01 for it and installing that via USB key....the only reason I did it is because nav was not working no matter what I tried (reset, factory reset, etc), 17.43.01 was a last ditch effort to get it working. Luckily it did! But then a few days later I started hearing about this 18.X update and the potential GPS week issue in our head units.

I see some indications there will be a download available soon, I just dont know HOW soon, nor exactly what version it will be.

I one time had a ra4 I installed in my 18 do a over the air update.no telling how long this radio had been setting inactive.and my truck was a factory uaq truck.

FYI the update is available for some VINs on the uconnect website now. I did my 2013 RA3 this morning...
