Hi ! I don't have a serial number of the vehicle donor for my 8.4 uconnect.

My radio is unlocked, so, my old version is 15.30.02.

This is a RA4 VP4 CA

68258675AF

How can i get the new version ?

The donor is a Ram 1500 Sport Laramie 2016.

Thank you

The best way to get the firmware update is to find a Vin# from a 2016 Canadian Sport that has a VP4 CA. I have been able to get Vin#s from searching ebay for used trucks with the correct options and radios for sale and using the Vin# they have listed and also going to car-part.com and searching radios. In many cases the wrecking yard has the Vin# available. As long as you can get the Vin# from any 2016 Canadian Sport with the same radio you can use it for your updates. Someone on the forum my even chime in who has one. Unfortunately I only have the Vin#s for the U.S. VP4 NA radios.

No you should be able to just install the new update. If you do the update. Remember it takes quit a while to complete so don't be alarmed. When I did my truck it rebooted several times before the update loaded. This is normal from what I have read with this update. You will know if your Vin# is correct when you type it in the Uconnect website because it will tell you what the Vin# is for. A 2016 Canadian 1500,2500 or 3500 Vin# with the VP4 CA should work fine.
