My front brakes are due for a change soon and I plan to upgrade to stage 3 slotted/dimpled rotors and green stuff pads.

My question is do I need to upgrade my rears to EBC at the same time or can I get away with just upgrading fronts for now?

If they have more bite I would do all 4, but seeing the fronts accounts for a major amount of your braking capabilities the fronts would be fine

It’s just what I’ve seen a lot of people on here talk about and install.

Is there a significant difference with the yellow pads?

You dont have to do all 4 but I would recommend it so it doesnt throw off the balance of your braking.

Let me know if you would like a quote on the EBC's or if you would be interested in our most popular brake package the R1 Concepts Geomet rotors and Posi-Quiet pads

Thanks for answering. I was hoping you would know the difference.

Green Stuff Brake Pads
EBC Brakes Green Stuff brake pads are designed for trucks that see heavy braking because they’re resistant to brake fade, which is when a brake pad loses stopping power due to excessive heat from heavy and/or repeated use. Green Stuff brakes also have the following benefits:

Designed for Heavy Braking: Brake pads resist brake fade on vehicles that see heavy braking.

Medium Dust: Less dust than OEM brake pads means low wear and tear on rotors.

Yellow Stuff Brake Pads
The high-friction, high-heat formula of EBC Brakes Yellow Stuff brake pads is designed for trucks that see extreme braking, frequent towing, and/or for trucks that are equipped with larger tires and wheels, because they’re highly resistant to brake fade. When used for this type of driving, you can see up to 30% improved stopping power over OEM brake pads. Other benefits include:

Designed for Extreme Braking, Frequent Towing, Larger Wheels & Tires: High-heat, high-friction formula is best for vehicles that see frequent towing or have larger wheels and tires.

Wide Heat Range: Able to absorb more heat in heavy braking situations, such as aggressive driving, towing and hauling.

Yellows will dust more but have more bite

Yellows have more initial bite. This can be fun if you are use to the old pads. First time you stop you end up with teeth marks on the steering wheel.
