What was your stock time and speed? Maybe the temp / humidity / barometric pressure / etc / etc was different when you ran both days?

The only accurate way to do the comparison would be to literally swap those mods on at the track that day. Your track times will vary drastically from day to day, it's all in the weather my man. I will say a 2.4 60' is horrible, were you spinning? How was the 60' when you were stock?

No Not Spining At Runing A 15.6 Before Mods
Also 70 Degress Here So Not Bad And Not Sure Of Humidity
But Was Hoping For 15-2 15-3

Please don't take offense to this, but if you ran a 15.6 before and 15.86 now, do you just need more runs to build consistency?
Unless you're extremely dialed in you're likely not to notice a difference with the 180* Tstat and Y, but the VR should have made a slight dent in your times, all else being equal.
Practice, practice, pratice!

Im gonna run mine when i get in from offshore so ill be able to tell you what mine runs with just the muffler and Y..I damn sure hope its quicker than that..My 2011 5.0 FX4 ran 15.5's stock and 14.6's with a 5star tune..My 08 tundra went 14.30's spinning with a crap ass 2.5 60ft with 22's and longtube headers..From what vararam claims you figure you would have done at least what you did stock given weather changes..I know its hot and humid right now so i don't expect great numbers but wanna get a baseline regardless!!As far as what vararam claims,They also claim the same for the vette ramair intakes and after spending $2800 for the Vararam,ARH longtubes,Re-tune and Drag radials on my 10' C6 i dropped 0.31sec and gained 4mph in the 1/4..Keep in mind that Vararam claims that 2tenths and 2-3mph of that was from their intake alone so i guess i could say i was skeptical that the Vararam for our truck would pick up exactly what they say..Shoot me your number in a PM bro and ill keep in touch with you when i get to the track next week....

Weather and heat under the hood plays the biggest factor in 1/4 mile times with simple mods.
You can pick up half a second or more going from +1500 to -1500 DA

Fair enough. Have you considered an aftermarket torque converter and/or a Sheradon valve body to address the throttle response?

What track were you at and time? Can look up the DA and see what it is corrected.

You were running in 6079 DA so your running faster then that shows just the DA flat out sucked. Dragtimes has a DA cal that you can always look up and it will figure your DA by the track and time then you enter your et and MPH.
Corrected DA time:
Stock and Mildly Modified Naturally Aspirated Engines
14.599 @ 96.714 MPH

Damn! I thought the 3000ish DA here in central Texas during the summer was bad

I think with a little more seat time your times will get better. How were you launching? Traction control off and leaving off idle or were you stalling it? Did you do a burnout or just a quick spin the tires?

^^ You've spent the entering argument on parts.. Now it's time to determine how deep is your wallet and your need for speed. :chicken:

Gotcha. Next time try leaving off idle, maybe 1,000-1,200 rpm at the most. These trucks hate being stalled up and the computer uses a lot of torque management when doing that

Only other thing I can think of is the truck got used to your driving style(just cruising or whatever) and it wasn't going 100% at the track. Pull the battery cable off(think its the negative one) for like 5-10 minutes and it'll reset the adaptive learning

Edit: What day and time was the pre mods run done? Density altitude may have been better that day too. Do you happen to have a pic of that time slip?
