3.92's and airbags depending on trailer tongue weight.

You could go with a WDH instead of airbags with respects to leveling with the trailer connected. But if you have a load in the bed, with or without the trailer, the WDH won't level you out. The bags can help in both conditions.

How much would air bags be? Approx and could I do it or have dealer do it to be safe. Would it be Load Lifter 5000, part
89365?

Haven't priced 'em recently. There are a lot of options, such as adding an onboard compressor, dash or cabin mounted controls, load carrying capacities, etc...which can affect the price.

You'll just have to go shopping online and pick a kit.

Hmm wonder what people generally get. Guess you are right, found load lift 5000, has 5k capacity lol and only 400 bucks.

What are you looking to tow? Are you sure you have the 6 spd 3.21 combo it's kind of a rarity but if you do I would look into gears if your towing heavy and often. Like 6k+ air bags are good alot of people use the air lift 1000. Tuff truck makes a replacement coil for the back that is stiffer also.

According to vin check it is 3.21 and 6 speed. I was looking at 5k bags at this time, thinking that would be good? Looking to pull in a few years a travel trailer. Just enough to go camping and rather be too strong and not risk a issue when I am in the middle of the woods.

Mechanically your truck will be find just don't go to big of travel trailer. The only true way yo find your rear axle gear is by checking the tag on the axle. If you truly have the 6spd 3.21 axle witch are out there the tow rating does take a hit. It's down to like 6500lbs instead of 8500

Just crawl under the truck and there should be a tag of some kind by the rear axle?

All I Could find. Mind you everything is linex or por15. Including all other shots if anyone was curious what I did to protect the under belly.

I use these instead of airbags - install and forget them, no adjusting pressures. There are two camps and numerous posts on these vs. airbags, some guys like one way, some the other, for me, these do exactly what i wanted. I'd recommend a WDH and sway control unless your towing a pop-up, well worth the peace of mind, and like insurance, better to have and not need it, then to need it and not have it.
