Did some work in kitchen a while back (wall oven install) new oven smaller than the hole for the oven (house was built in 58 by dad) appliances bulkier then. So went to Home Depot got two sheets of copper/aluminum (type in model #57526) one in case I made an "Opps" one to cover hole. Did not make an OPPS but never took the other one back. Tripped over it a while back! So I cut it in three 12' x 36" strips. Laid under vehicles and just bent them up, drilled a hole in them (for bungy cord could hold them in place). Now I have three flow trays for my problem vehicles: 66 Plymouth, 02 Buick Century, and 16 Ram. I have seen a used a buddy's plastic one the is supposed to be bendable (it is for a while then it isn't any more). Simple lay in hand made drip funnel, loosen filter drips in tray and down into the waste oil pan. any sheet of any thin material that is easy to bend will work. The 36 inch keeps it long enough to go under the filter and still reach the pan when the vehicle is up on jack stands.

Best Aux. Reverse light that will fit on anything that has a license plate and light up 60 + feet behind you. unbelievable what it lights up! Great with a backup camera!!! And doesn't stick out. If you don't point to it most will not even know it is there! Morimoto (so it's quality) calls it a "boost bar License plate light" I got mine from American Truck. Put one on the wife's Vette also. It is that little strip on the top of the plate.

Well now I have caught up with this thread. So headed down to the "shed" Our working Garage. Going to add a rear sway bar assembly to our 2016 Tradesman, as it did not come with any rear bar. Has a 1.4" dia. on front. Should of course corner better, but real reason is to cut down on some road sway with loads in the box (it's reg. cab. 8-foot box) and with the 16-foot steel deck trailer behind it. Ordered a Hellwig 7709 rear bar and got some HD links from O'Rielly's auto parts (750396)

Put a borescope in the hvac box to look at the evaporator because I felt like my ac wasn't blowing as hard as it used to. Evaporator was near completely covered in dog hair! Brushed it out and shop vacuumed it out via a small hole I made in the box, which I plastic welded shut afterwards.

Due to the above issue, I installed a cabin air filter to prevent that from happening again. Was a very easy process and gave me a reason to buy a hot knife.

Also finally got the weight distribution hitch for my travel trailer set up just about perfectly. No squat in the rear and the front height is the same loaded as unloaded.

Picked up a used bed cover for $100 earlier this week-sprayed the cover and my bumper with bed liner and am thrilled with the results

Drove the rig to lower Canadia (Ontario) to wondrous and beautiful Lake of the Woods to do a little fishing for a week. It's a tad over 1400 miles round trip up and down I-29 through the eastern Dakotas.

I towed a small 2K lbs boat along with all the supplies needed for a week on the lake.

We fought headwinds and crosswinds on both legs of the trip. We encountered flooded roads near home on the return trip.

I have "updated/upgraded" the truck to include the transmission heater bypass and a Mishimoto thermostat kit (165*F) on the cooler lines.

With that load, going 65MPH in 60/70*F weather, the transmission ran at about 168-170*F consistently.

Averaged 12.75 MPG's for the trip. (hand calculated)

Took off about 15% of the oil life too.

So that's what I did to the truck this week.

1 more month and i will have owned the truck for 10 years she slowly dying pretty sure i have lifted failure for awhile now but now i’m getting mds chatter looks like i’m gonna have to hellcat/392 swap it sooner than i wanted to was hoping to get it to 200k.

I guess I jumped the gun a little early on the MDS this morning it seems to stop chattering when I would manually shift it into gear but now it’s still doing it more under load if I park or put it in neutral and rev it I hear nothing either way my statement about swapping still stands

Made the mistake of buying some SYNERGY front end parts . Mainly their tie rod and drag link . On their web site they show part # 8703-01 needed to use the stock or after market steering stabilizer shock. The part cost $100.00 Unfortunately it is discontinued. What I ended up getting was a $ 200.00 part 8703-03 which replaced both ends of the mounting for the shock.
Had I known this I would have used different parts for this job . Then after the installation I also wasn't very happy with the quality of their hardware either .
My advise use the stock part or go with the APEX .
I have the synergy gear box support too. Just haven't installed it yet

Replaced my front brake pads, again. I did a brake job in January and have been have not been happy with their performance when the pads are cold. Once they warm up, they worked well, but just changing gears and the truck wants to push through the brakes at idle. Went with Wagner SD pads. Much better grab, much less chatter as well.

seen the rear of my headliner with water stains. When I replaced the CHML bulbs with LEDs I siliconed the light in, looks like the silicone dried up and cracked.
Took some clear tape and sealed the area. Stinks is that I have to take the topper off to do it right.

Got back last night from a up north (Pullman, WA) to move my daughter out of school after she graduated last month.



Picked up the trailer at my dads in Northern Utah. Without the trailer I got 15mpg, with, I got 12. Loaded or empty.

also made two pulls on the way home pretty sure the converter is slipping and shortly after that, I had a check engine light come on with cylinder five misfire

Adjusted the steering gear box today. Had about 4 inches total of play. Had to move the lower fan shroud out of the way and take the 2 bolts out of the top half . Gave me enough room to tie wire the shroud up out of the way . To get a socket and impact swivel on the nut . Only needed what seemed like 1/4 turn to tighten it back to under 2 inches of play. Improvement was made . Still need to do the tie rod , hear box support, and get an alignment.

Did a 3200 mile trip with the 19 1500 classic 5.7. I will cut the filter open later.but the oil wasn’t bad although the filter could be. Anyway I finally tried 2 other longer filters from some discussion that was had.Both wouldn’t fit lengthwise It was some hard driving but both of us are blown away by how it performed.Maybe this type of kit might be worth it. For a lot of reasons.

Did the Synergy steering gear box support today . Between adjusting the gear box and doing the support what a difference a day makes . The adjustment was an improvement, the support bracket was the icing on the cake . Now to do the tie rod and get an alignment.
Same problem with their hardware though cheap stuff had to get better quality bolts and washers and nylock nuts wgila I was at it .

Took my RAM in for an oil change today in preparation for a trip coming up in two weeks. I ended up having my rotors replaced (brake pads were good as I had recently replaced them), left front caliper was replaced, and the brake fluid was exchanged.
