Played with AlfaOBD for the first time and changed tire size to match new tires. Nice. That alone is worth the purchase. What an awesome program. Looking forward to exploring with it more soon.

Otherwise, replaced a noisy right front wheel hub. Thanks to all of those who suffered through and documented the struggles on this site. In the end, a torch and a sledgehammer was what I used. Next weekend im replacing the other one as well as other front end components.

*FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO CHEAP OUT ON A LEVEL/LIFT. I did and I’m paying the price now. Do not cheap out. Do your proper research and spend a bit more on the extra components that are necessary upfront or end up like me and replace them in a few years when they fail and are rusted solid! I definitely learned the hard way.
Respect, Brother!!!

Got everything put back together on the front end. Drove it to work no more low speed vibration but gotta go get an alignment get everything back in spec. Don’t like how the upper control arm ball joints are sitting so may just ditch stock ones that I just put on and order some adjustable ones. Live and learn I guess.

So I searched the forum for a thread like this and didn't find anything. I figured it would be fun to have a thread that everyone can watch what everyone is doing each week.

This week I put on Steelcraft nerf bars, and right now I'm getting the permaplating put on the truck. This way it gets a real good bath.
I painted the “rivets” on my fender flares & put some tape under the edges where they rub the fenders.
I had planned on having the bolts/indents filled with putty & repainted, kinda over the the rivet look but my hot water heater had other plans.
I knew the bigger flares would rub, well learned here on the forum after I installed them, but didn’t realize how much. I couldn’t feel the scratches with my finger nail but knew exactly where to put the tape from the marks.
I briefly considered leaving them off & having the scratches buffed out but offset puts the tires right at the edge of the flares, too much poke without them for my taste.
Hoping the paint & tape will last for a year or so until I can do the filler & repaint but happy how they came out for now.

Replaced ESIM early last week in a continued attempt to eliminate P0456/0457 related CEL that i've had for a couple of years at this point.

Mission complete! Gas cap light cleared after 3 or 4 drive cycles and after another 3-4 the CEL is gone. Did not use smoke machine to diagnose, I just went for it and got "lucky". It was a simple job as described, thankfully.

Almost 169K miles. Never had my coolant changed. My bad. Had the local dealer do it since they have one of those flushing machines that supposedly cleans out the whole system.
Nice to see that mileage on a fellow 3.6. :head3:

Is it warm enough up there to splash? Figured they'd still be icebreaking lol.
Lake mac water was 61,62 degrees, i had the boat out on the big lake for the shakedown run but didn't check water temps...it definitely was not beach weather

Now, when it is, I will take the boat out on the big lake, anchor in 3 feet of water and Wade to shore for a cookout and a tan, bur what was going on last week was a little different

I live in a town of roughly 30 000 people, and once a year we take a week of to celebrate our Dutch heritage

During that week we get some 5-600 000 tourist come through our little town and traffic is a pain

So, apart from the klompen dancing my girl does i had to be downtown for one of the parades, as well as the fireworks

The parade route passes by kollen park, and the fireworks are shot off from a barge across the lake from kollen park, and best viewed from the park

Now it just so happens that at kollen park there is a restaurant on the water that has docks and a boat launch, also with docks

On top of that, there is a boat launch less then a mile from my house and about 20 minutes of no wake boating from the restaurant

So, on the day of the parade, I put the boat in the water at 11 and mosied on over to the restaurant for an early lunch with the wife
From there it was a 2 minute walk to the parade route

On Saturday, I put the boat in around 6 and did the same thing, only now I docked at the launch at kollen park

Best view of the fireworks around, a cooler full of cheap pop and snacks for the kids

Plenty of blankets in the cuddy against the chill and several really comfortable seat to sit or lay on

After the last bang, I pulled my bow and stern lines and I was on my way home, half an hour later I was on my couch

So, a little chilly to splash around, sure...but sometimes the most illogical mode of transportation is in fact the best

(Pics are from a few years ago, but you get the idea)

Pic after last Saturdays trip to lake mead which had water Temps around 75. High temp on the shore was 99.

Saw a gladiator when we got back to the truck sunk past its axles in the mud/sand at the shore who didn't think about not having a ramp to launch seadoo's from.

i like the way that sits on the rack

i got a few kayaks, enough for the whole family, but none that fit in the bed without sticking out

im guessing since you only posted a pic of the truck, the only thing biting were the musquitos?

The rack was just over $100 on Amazon. https://a.co/d/i4SCaAt

The windier part of the day we fished from the shore. Caught quite a few stripers. Kept three stripers, tossed back about 5 cats and the littler stripers.
