What's the key mean on the cigarette lighter cover? And how would you go about using it?

My understanding is this; It is indicating that the port is a "Keyed" power source. Meaning it only has power when the key is in the ON/ACC position, unlike some ports that are wired hot all the time on earlier vehicles. It also suggests that it isn't really a Cigarette Lighter, but a charging / power port for devices with that type of fitting. They give you power, but don't want it to get "fire" hot.

Just use a fingernail to pull the door downward to open the flap covering it.

^^^this. Key icon indicates power when key is turned to ON or ACC. Battery icon indicates constant power (as long as the battery is connected). Test it out and see...

My wife and kids are allowed no food, drinks, candy, pens, pencils, markers....You get the idea.
My wife doesn't even have my second key.
NEVER allowed to drive, unless I've severed limbs!
Told all of them, if they want to ever ride in it, they will never even THINK of breaking my rules...lol
