What octane do y'all run?

Got back last night from the FL run. Haven't hand calculated the mileage, but the truck pulled well with a tow dolly, 94 accord, 2 adults, 2 kids and associated luggage. EVIC was showing 15.9 I think running 65-70 in tow/haul mode, though there were several times I was down to 30 or so because the rain was so heavy.

On the way back with just the 2 of us, running a steady 65, EVIC showed 22.5 steady on 87.

Well, it's a bit different for me (and I suspect for any 3.6 V6 engine owner...)

The little Pentastar I have is FlexFuel, so it was made to take pretty much anything, including that Ethanol E85 crap (though E85 means you take a hit on fuel mileage.)


Fortunately, we don't do Ethanol/E85 here in Oregon, so I usually just fill up with the cheapest stuff, 87 Octane. My average is exactly the maximum mileage FCA says I should get for a v6 4x4 (24 mpg), though the rural setting I live in means that most of my driving is highway miles, so your own mileage may vary. Once in a great while I'll toss in 1/4 tank of 89 or 91 Octane, but only to clean things up.

I don't have the luxury of a company gas card but I still run 93, mostly shell, in my Hemi and penstar both.

Me too, my 6.4 gets 93.

I have an '09 Hemi with the 5spd with 3.55 non-LSD rear end. The original Gen 4

She acquitted herself well on this trip, hauling the Accord down with no issues or hiccups. Sitting at just a touch over 130k after the trip.
