Hey Ram family!

I recently purchased a pretty much stock 2011 Ram 1500. Yesterday I put on a toneau cover and placed a bed mat in it but wanted to seek the forum members for advice on what I should do next with the truck.

Any help is welcome and if you have a 2 door post some picures so I can get some ideas!

Nice truck. What's your plans for the truck. Are you wanting to off-road or have a street truck?

If it were me, I'd take off the bug deflector, get 5% tint, drop the rear end, and a magnaflow dod18m, 5"tips. That would be some things I'd do personally, but its your truck.. do with it all you like

I don't know man. I don't want to go any lower then what it's sitting at now and I dont want to go much higher because it's just a two door and wouldn't look that great. If I am to do any suspension/body upgrades it will probably be a leveling kit to get that front end up.

Future plans (when I have some money) include:
- Tinted windows
- New tires/wheels
- LED headlights/taillights (should I smoke the taillights?)
- Upgrade the engine (air filter, possibly a super chip)

Those are my thoughts right now.
Wanted to see what everyone thought and if anyone had any suggestions on some products to use.

I've been trying to get that bug deflector off for days man. It's just held in there with plastic screws with a plastic backing. Things a pain to get off cause there is no way to get a finger to hold the backing so the screws just spin. Probably going to have to just cut them off.

Thanks for your thoughts though! Definitely getting some tint on there soon.

For the engine upgrades. I'd look into the Vararam intake or S&B intake. Then onto whatever exhaust that has the sound you like. As for the tuners. You could run either the bullydog if your planning n basic mods. Or the diablo w/ hemifever if your wanting to go deeper in the mods.

Awesome, I will look into some of those. Thanks for helping a new guy out with his Ram! Hopefully in the future I will be able to help others out like you're doing.

Reg cabs look badass lifted. I'd love to have one just for that reason. I'd mimic smarsmars' truck, I believe that's his name. He's a member on here

Tint the windows and exhaust are usually my first two things. On this truck I put on a $10 shorty antenna from autozone that looks way better than stock.

Was just driving it and hitting limbs with the stock antenna hanging over the road. Definitely going to go purchase a shorty antenna. It's a good investment. You have any problems with signal with the change, or is it pretty similar?

I tried the short antenna , reception sucked compared to the stock one. Air box is nothing but a cool sound box. You won't get any better mileage or performance then the stock one. most don't like the looks of the bug shield. I do and it saves the hood and I've never had a chipped windshield on the last 4 trucks I've had.

I haven't had any issues. Reception for sxm still goes out under large bridges just as it did with the stock antenna. Haven't driven in the mountains yet, but for me it's been the same as stock. I saved my stocker in case issues come up. For me it's a well spent ten bucks.

Doesn't SiriusXM use a different antenna from am/fm stations? It does on my Jeep at least.

As for truck mods, I would get new headlights. Not a fan of the duals.

Sxm antenna is on the roof.
The antenna on the fender is am/fm.
I put a stubby on, and lost most reception.
Don't care, I don't listen to am/fm.

Insted of cutting the bolts off try drilling them, less room for error. If you like the black look pic up some black painted headlights, if you like chrome pick up a grill insert and some half mirror covers.
