so, a few weeks ago I had issues with my new alternator and AC. alternator issues (flickering lights) ended up being caused by the new belt. put the old belt back on and no problems. The evaporator for the AC went, so no AC. my check engine light was on due to misfiring in one cylinder, cause was bad compression in that cylinder. for whatever reason the light went off and I got the truck to pass emissions. then 2 weeks later, the cylinder got worse, top end is definitely done. a used motor starts around $2500 from what I have seen, and would cost at least $1000 to put in. I can't see it being worth it. Any thoughts on what I should try to sell it for? I am not happy about it, i wanted to keep the truck as a dump run vehicle, but its not worth it to me to fix anymore. here are the details:
2009 1500 SLT 5.7 Hemi Crew Cab
225,500 miles
20" Grabber ATX (1 year old)
Recent alternator, tensioner pulley
bed cover
rockers/bottom of fenders rusty, dents and dings
I am considering selling the tires seperately
TIA
