I would post in the garage section but it is literally dead in there. I am looking at getting a bottle jack to replace my scissor jack and some jack stands. I woukd like the best quality as I dont want my truck to decide I am a tasty snack and also I want these tools for 10+ years.

Looking at U.S. Jack Stands 6 tons and U.S. Bottle Jack 8/12 ton. (8 vs 12 ton price is minor)

The bottle jack is from 9 to 19 1/2 inch range, is this sufficient?

I have 275/55 - 20 tires and no lift (maybe in the future).

There is a high range to 23 inch but that seems exessive.

Thanks all

Also, I dont like the hi lift style perfer bottle due to being compact and can easily store, scissor is garbage and a floor jack is big and clunky to store in the bed of the truck.

Measured under the teuck and back end the ground to jack point is 13 inches so a 9 1/2 inch bottle jack is safe, the front however was about 9 1/2 inches. Now I am wondering wtfmate. I want the standard US Jack but now I am wondering if that is even possible. Since a flat would sink the height by at least 2 inches.

What did you wind up going with - I'm looking at bottle jacks as well as I detest those scissor deals. Just can't decide what height range I should be looking for. running 33's essentially, any probably 34's when I replace them.

It seem like one would have to get the stubby version, and carry a base and maybe a 6x6 block or something along those lines for extra height. Might be easier just to grab a suitcase floor jack for simple roadside tire change.

Amazon has some very good deals on decent quality jacks.
