I have a Ram 1500 with 20" chrome wheels, I want to get black wheel skins but was told they only
make them for the alloy wheel. Has anyone ran into this and found any that fit the chrome factory wheel?
Thanks

If your wheels have chrome skins on them, then yes, you can rip them off and replace them with black skins.

I have the factory 5 spoke chrome wheels, look the same
as the alloy factory which will accept most of the skins. Is the thickness of the chrome on alloy wheels that make
the skins not work? I will post if I can find out if this is the case or find someone that makes them for chrome.
Thanks for the response.

Can't find a reason why.
But they always say steel wheels only.

The faces of the alloy wheels that come from the factory with skins attached are shaped somewhat differently than the "real" chromed or black aluminum wheels from what I've seen.

If you yank the skins off the factory alloys, what's underneath looks like an ugly, partially unfinished aluminum wheel.

Didn't think they made that style in 09. Still, it's not the ones I have and I can't seem to find skins for mine.
