With what these pickups cost they belong in a garage, heated or not. Keeps them out of the elements and way less likely to be stolen. Expanding an existing garage or putting in a taller door isn't that expensive and you can build an oversized double garage for about $45,000, which is less than the truck costs.

Got lucky with this place, despite being a crew cab long box with 2' of winch sticking out the front, the truck fits in the heated attached garage. Otherwise I would have to park it in the detached double that isn't heated.

hopefully by summer '24 i'll be parking in my new garage.the wife decided she wants a heated garage,so we talked to our contractor to start the ball rolling on a 5 car garage.the engineer will be out next week.i'll have to lose my side by side garage to push the new one out but at least now i get a new space and some new gear.going to load the roof out with solar, new metal roofs for the whole property, heated driveway and a few other things.the only things that will be parked outside will be the travel trailer and a couple of the boats.

I am fortunate to be able to keep it in my garage...not a lot of extra room but it fits.

since we brought it home in '17, the exact same spot in the driveway...

only the BRONCO is allowed parking in the garage, no exceptions!

I built a 20x22 shop/garage a few years ago with 9070 door. I always kept my '19 1500 in there and now my '22 laramie 2500. door is tall enough but 9' wide just barely clears the mirrors so it is evidently a couple inches wider than my 1500 was but this one has power folding mirrors so all good. I have a 6070 roll up door to the shop area that lines up with the cab so no problem to open driver side doors or can keep roll-up door shut in cold weather and run heater in shop. rafters slope up on each side to 10' so the joists are at 10' and I plan to add a hoist to R&R the 5th wheel hitch. too heavy for me in my old age. not very fancy but gets the job done. ran enough power out there to run welder and power up the trailer pad behind. gave up my spot in the main garage to my 2 harleys.

Due to the slope of my driveway,I have to completely air down and the truck barely fits
Bought the truck new in 2012,and this winter is the first time it's been inside so I can do my 8HP75 swap
It'll stay outside again once the swap is complete

Mine stays outside. GF's CC mini-bed F150 barely fits (have to park at a 45* angle lol), no hope for mine to fit. We're planning to either move in a couple years or build a shop out back.

We have a different setup. Our house has a walk out basement with a tuck under garage that is 18x40. My shop, many toys and the wife's Pacifica are in there. On the main level, we have a large attached 2.5 car garage. Car, bass boat, tractor, etc live in there. Then we have a metal outbuilding for our diesel pusher, enclosed trailer and my Ram. Wife is adamant that no vehicles, boats, etc sit outside. The southern sun is just too hard on stuff like that.

First picture is of my old 18 Ram in front of the outbuilding. Don't have one like that with my 22 yet:

Here's the 22 outside the lower level tuck under, after it's first bath. The truck will fit in any of the garages, but we don't use it much so it makes sense to keep it in the outbuilding.

Driveway most of the year, it doesn't quite fit in the garage. But I put it in the garage when it snows and tarp from the door around the truck so I don't have to clean it off and I don't drive on the snow in the driveway before I clean it up with the snowblower. Sure wish my garage was 1 foot deeper :)
Update to my parking situation. Bought a new house, has an attached garage and my truck now fits. It's great being able to park inside whenever I want now :)

Have your wife call my wife. :)

I have a 2 car attached garage that is currently a full home gym. There's room to park my son's Acura if we had to, but not enough space to park my wife's Armada. My Ram "will" fit if I pull it in at an angle but you can't walk around it.

I have a 1.5 car detached garage with a really low door. That's my woodshop. I can move my large tablesaw and workbench to one side and barely squeeze in a small car but that's about it.... my truck and the wife's Armada are both too tall to clear the garage door.

All 3 of my vehicles have been parked outside forever, so I have to be diligent on keeping them clean and waxed.

I normally park in a lot behind our townhome.

Started to back in my 2500 this afternoon to do some work in the shade and be closer to the tools. Big nope. The slope of the short driveway leaves about 1-2" between the top of the door opening and the roof.

Had the same problem which got even worse with a 4” lift so I raised the headers eliminated a room above one side raised the joists, well door panels openers ect.but none of the vehicles are left outside and one lift for tools and equipment one pic shows how close I came to screwing up before and after the RC kit84037354-E15A-4347-A46A-0396E921825A.jpeg5FC24870-5EBA-4E50-BDC4-45F3017A438E.jpeg2ED20146-0A62-410B-9A8F-32D8062B60E6.jpegimage.jpgimage.jpg

Cousin had same problem, he ground down the concrete where the wheels go and took the top piece of trim off and replaced with fabric block. Got it in eventually. If that doesn't work, maybe deflate the tires for the work inside.

i have a height problem with my side by side. when i have the tracks on it, it won't fit in the shop with an oem roof but fortunately i found an aftermarket one that will just sqeak under it with a couple millimeters to spare.the new shop will have more than enough room to get in.
