Which fan clutch?

Looking to replace my fan clutch and some are listed as reverse rotation? Was there more than one clutch used on a 96 ram with a 5.2?

I am unaware of there being 2 different units that fit the Magnum motors.
Stay away from the "Heavy Duty" fan clutches. They 'engage' frequently and just make a bunch of noise.

When I check on RockAuto, I don't see one manufacture making a "standard" and a "reverse" I think it's misleading because some don't list them as "reverse".

No No No. Do not get an E-Bay fan clutch ever. Get new parts from your local Pep Boys, Advanced auto Parts, AutoZone, or O'Reily's. With them you get a warrantee and the correct part the first time.
What you spend on that E-Bay unit would much better go towards a new one from one of the shops I listed above.

when my clutch fan takes a dump i am planning on upgrading to electric fans.

Thats the same part sold by rockauto, just a few bucks cheaper after shipping and all. It's brand new not a used clutch.
