Will the 5th gen Hemis have the lifter and cam issues?

Anyone know if there were updates to the Hemi valvetrain to deal with the lifter and cam issues the 4th gens have? I do like the new 5th gens and I still like my 2014 Lonestar, but it did just go in and have the lifters replaced due to the common failure on the 4th gen side. If I go with a new ram next year I don’t want to deal with that again, especially since mine went at only 62k miles!

The lifter problem was corrected in 16/17 supposedly.

My 17 had the lifter tick, took it in for service they said we don’t hear anything. I told them i’ve Turned wrenches long enough to know a lifter tick, it’s strange it can only be heard while driving next to say a wall. But was very noticeable even with the radio on. ( The truck had 44,000 miles) bought it new in 2018. So just a heads up unless something changed in 19 as far as a change in materials/ design. Then still the same crap shoot 50/50 I guess.

i just came across this on another forum:

Melling changed the lifters in February of 2015 for all MDS Hemi applications:

Front: JBK-7522
Rear : JBK-7523

Non-MDS: JBK-7521 (6.1 engine)

The new MDS lifters did make it into the 2016 cars, but there is very, very little information out there from FCA regarding the valvetrain changes. Considering the problems, that's understandable.
