It is getting gas but all the codes came up. Number 1 piston at tdc, cam phaser at 12 o'clock and crankshaft gear at 6. It acted like it would try and crank. I don't see anything that I might have not plugged back up. Thanks for any help

Sounds like it could be out of time still. The positions of your cam and crankshaft sound right. Where there any marks on the timing chain? Did you take the oil pump out and verify that the timing marks were correct?

I used this guys method to get my timing right, I used the marking on the chain and the gear to get my correct timing.

Yep, I looked at it this morning and realized I didn't hook the alternator back up. I am hoping the low voltage may be the issue. Will find out this evening. Thanks

Hooked alternator up and it did away with all the codes. Still will turn over but won't crank. I am getting fuel and spark

You already figured it out, but not having the alternator hooked up typically won't prevent the engine from starting. The alternator only puts out voltage after the engine is running, and would not cause a low voltage issue when first cranking over the engine. The battery provides all of the voltage when you first crank the engine over. If you did have low voltage when you tried to start the engine, the engine wouldn't crank over. The starter requires way more electrical power to get the engine started than what the engine requires after it is started.

Just exactly what do you mean by "still won't crank",as that means the engine isn't turning over on the starter,do you mean it's not firing / starting. Please clear up what you mean,as it's been pointed out to you a few times already.
You make it very confusing to figure out what your issue is,if it's turning over on the starter,it's apparently "cranking" and if it's not starting, that usually means it's not firing, because it's lacking fuel / compression or ignition. If it has fuel and spark, that only leaves 1 thing and that's compression. If it's lacking compression and all the pushrods are properly seated, that usually means you didn't have the cam timing properly oriented, and you might have bent a few valves. Did you manually rotate the engine over by hand several times before trying to start it,to see if there was any binding

Then it is cranking but will not start. Have fire and fuel but 0 compression on number 3 which makes me think a push rod may be off. Plenty of compression in cylinders 2,4,6 and 1. I stopped at number 3. Will investigate further this week

Just a thought. Did you buy REAL oem lifters and did you place the MDS lifters in the correct places?

Melling cam shaft with sealed power lifters. Checked the valve train yesterday and #3 intake isn't moving at all. Tearing it back apart this weekend
Throw those lifters in the garbage and suck it up and buy OEM lifters, and don't buy them off Amazon or Ebay. That camshaft isn't great either, make sure you look it over close.
