I will have to look but OEM put me in this predicament
How many miles on your truck, odds are if you'd went back with OEM parts, they'd have outlasted the truck.

From what I read, it isn't unusual for these to do it at 80k. Guess I was locker than a lot of them

Number three isn't moving at all?

Either the push rod slipped off the lifter or rocker arm, or you may have put an MDS lifter in the wrong hole.

Confirmed timing was correct. Had a bent pushrod as well as a broke wire in the harness going to mds. Hope to have it all back together this week
I'm dying to hear the end results. I'm starting the same project you undertook this weekend. I'm studying and trying to learn others mistakes before I begin.

They make a pushrod alignment tool but nobody here had a rental. I have 2 of the rockshaft bolt spacers that are cracked. I am waiting on those to proceed

A piece of welding rod,or even a straightened out metal coat hanger, laid lengthwise will help hold the pushrods in alignment

Here is the latest. New cam, lifters, mds solenoids, coil packs and injectors. Still have misfire in #4. That code and the tick is the reason I tore it down. The cam and lifter failure was actually on #8. Compression good on all cylinders but still have a bad tick and the plugs on number 4 have more carbon.

Cylinder four is a MDS cylinder. Are you sure you didn't put normal lifters where MDS lifters should be. Also those sealed power lifters could be the problem. I know that a lot of people recommend the stock lifters over other brands when it comes to going back with stock.

Unless that lifter didn't build up. I am positive they are in there right. I went with those because of issues with stock lifters. Friends of mine had stock lifter failure at 75k. Wish I had went with the mds delete now but the gas mileage was 21 mpg on the highway
