Hmm not in there, I checked this morning. I wonder if that’s part of the reset module. I never did that step as everything worked without. Haven’t worked on the handles yet.
I know there were some issues with '13s but not '14s and CSM menus. From the OP: keyless go, passive entry, fobik safe enable, and passive entry CSM

The CSM definitely needs to be enabled for it to show on the screen. However, should still work without the CSM for passive entry. You would just not have the ability to disable without Alfa if you should ever want for some reason.

@WilliamS Could be, but I have not reset mine. Just might need more time to take if everything has been enabled.

Just to clarify, this is in the setting in Alfa, not the 8.4 screen.
Yes...Passive Entry Present in the Body Computer is set in my truck. I wish I could ascertain what "General Electrical Failure" specifically meant: mis-wired C2 or handle connectors or a break in the wire.

FWIW my truck shows that error, I do not have the door handles connected. The wires to them are in the C2 connector and the other end is rolled up and stashed inside the opening in the b-pillar for now.

I got the same error when my handle wires were coiled up in the kick panels. I wonder why that's the error given when the handle wiring is connected to the RF Hub? The error for the Passenger passive entry antenna that I disconnected was called an "Open circuit". It would seem THAT should be the error thrown when the handles are not connected but the wiring is present at the RF Hub.

I suppose in my case I either inverted the handle wire pins in the C2 connector (Driver side handle pins in positions 7/17 vice 6/16 per the wire diagram), or more likely, I picked the wrong handle wires when I taped them up with the antenna wires to run them down both sides of the truck. The latter seems more likely, as I pinned the connector one evening, then a few days later taped up the "harnesses" (I combined the antenna and handle wires by "side" to run them all together down each side of the truck).

Since they are a sensor and a return, I would imagine the RF hub can tell if its sending a signal but not getting anything back (or vice versa), which it can then interpret as a single broken lead (open circuit?)

But nothing on the sensor or return line it seems to just call a general electrical failure.

I'm not sure...but if that's the case, it still seems that pinned connectors without the handles OR antennas would give the "open circuit". Either way, it doesn't exactly give a clear troubleshooting path.

Before I installed my stuff I checked for resistance across the leads (right on the RF hub and then at the end of each wire once C2 was installed).

Short (no pun intended) of doing that Im not sure what else there is to do other than double check the pin locations or just run a new wire.

Well, weather dependent, I'll find out what went wrong for my install this weekend. I hope I just sent the wrong wire down each side of the truck so changing the pin locations will fix it, but we shall see.

I am in the process of doing this right now. I noticed all the locked fobs. I just bought something to unlock them but I don’t have a keyless fob to test it with. I have plenty of the standard keys. If anyone has a locked one, I will unlock it and send it back for free just want to test it.

Did you ever get to test this?

Still no function. The junk meter I have didn't read any resistance on ANY of the wires I tried it on, so I can't assume that works at all.

I did NOT swap the wires down either side (driver side was in the right position). I even switched the connection at the RF Hub to compensate for what I assume is my incorrect wiring on the handle end: (Red going to return not signal, which would make my white wire the signal instead of the black). FWIW, the twisted pair for the antennas is green/white, and the white is what I used for return on all four of them- I tried to keep the same idea for the door handles.

I don't have any clue, and I don't have a garage and don't have the weather to tear the entire truck apart and completely re-wire the handles for a bit. Irritating on all counts.

Something I worried about in the back of my head...with the wires bundled up and "stored" until you got to adding the handles, is it possible they shorted out on something?

Are you able to take a pic of the c2 connector that you wired showing the wires entering the connector ?

Can't imagine they would have; the wire ends were not exposed (didn't strip the ends to add connectors until they were pulled through the door connection/boot).

Question: if someone who added the handles and has them functioning can do so, in the ECU Configuration portion of the RF Hub status upload, can you show what data you have? Here's what mine says (uploaded today):

ECU H/W Configuration:
BTSI: Not present
ESCL Output: Not present
ESCL LIN Bus: Not present
WRS: Not present
Internal Antenna: Not present
Remote TPM Antenna: Not present
Remote Start Antenna: Present
Gated Park Switch: Present
Brake switch: Not present
Clutch switch: Not present
LF Antenna: 1: Present
LF Antenna: 2: Present
LF Antenna: 3: Present
LF Antenna: 4: Present
LF Antenna: 5: Not present
Front LeftHandle H/W Configuration: Serial AP
Front RightHandle H/W Configuration: Serial AP
Rear LeftHandle H/W Configuration: No AP
Rear RightHandle H/W Configuration: No AP
Trunk
Handle H/W Configuration: No AP
Is there a difference in the "Handle H/W Configuration:" for anyone who's got working handles?

I can check my truck in a bit here .
You can pm if you want then I can pm you with phone number if you want to call me and we can compare with alpha at the same time if that helps you

No...not without unbolting the driver side back seat again. BTW: is there some difference in the height of the hook points on different model years? I took off almost 3/4" off the hooks and I still have no chance of the seat lifting high enough to clear the mounting points.

Whenever you can get to it, skuppy069; I am going to lose the weather battle again tomorrow, so any real efforts at troubleshooting will have to wait. Supposedly we're getting warmer temps (though rain is forecast) for next weekend. Lack of a garage sucks!
