I can’t believe only on the HD’s are the ones that have greasable front driveline.

Tell me about it. All the front end parts on a 1500 are disposable. 0 grease fittings anywhere. Ive thought about just replacing everything in the front end with high quality greasable units now that my truck has hit 50k...

Yes, thank you everyone for reading in between the lines. I was topping off my redline windshield washer fluid last night ;) and noticed the 30k note, figured I also had other joints that needed top off as well. So, I meant it more as a general question, rather than the front DS specifically.

Cam Bushing spun and wrapped around the cam, locking the cam in the block. Think that's oil related?

What I find interesting is that he said Ram still Has No Fix for this spun cam bearing. Implying he sees this type of failure often. So we have failed lifters and Now spun cam bearings to worry about. Oil strategy is critical imo.

they've caught things in my uoa that I didn't post, totally trust them. Plus, for any reason you disagree with something they will retest as long as you mention it right away, tell me that aint the ****! They hold the sample and will retest it. Plus the entire keeping records thing and taking off personal info for you to post thing, they are the best I know of.

I like the format also, easy to read and understand. Better than the others I’ve seen.

When my copper was high about 20k miles ago, I emailed Blackstone and asked them if they thought it was a serious problem. They emailed me back within a day with a more in depth analysis than what was typed on the report. They also assured me that it wasn't anything to be worried about as of yet and sure enough it came way down on the next report. And as they also predicted, it has slowly come down since. They know their **** when it comes to UOAs and I trust them completely.

Lube Locker gasket for RFE transmissions.
Very nice quality. Im impressed. Edges are nice and clean, free of burs. Cuts are very nice. Sealant beads are nice a rubbery. Packaging was also done well to protect it.

One down fall is im pretty sure it is not reusable. It is coated aluminum. and it is 26$ before shipping. @Nick@GotExhaust can get this for you. If it works well i will still do it again

Not sure how old this video is but FCA claims they have no idea about the lifter problem. This was a 2011 5.7. Make me wonder why FCA will not address this issue. Are CAFE points that valuable ($)? Or is this poor design?

In their minds they did address it. They cut the drivetrain warranty down to 60000 miles. Most lifters fail after this mileage.

Sorry guys I forget...What was determined on the lube? Is the RL compatible with the stock lube? Just noticed the drive line is supposed to be lubed every 30k...almost 50k behind on that one.....figure the rest of the joints could use it also

I would be careful when mixing any grease lube, best to clean the joint best as possible or reuse what was there before if you can't, just my opinion on that.

16 Lifters per engine and all it takes is 1 and your cam is toast. The possibilities are endless.
If you do have a lifter failure these videos will be a great help on parts. Guy went with Hellcat lifters, custom cam and MDS delete. Unfortunately he put in Factory exhaust manifold bolts back in. LOL

This video is a follow up to my previous post; Look at that Cam.

what do you expect them to say, um yeah our **** sucks, lol. Nobody excepts resposibilty for themselves anymore, manu's even cheat gas mileage numbers with never so much yeah we did that until they go through court. I could go on and on, but bottom line the truth is no matter what you buy and what it cost, you bought a project. So guys should consider buying old trucks (now 4 gens) and fix all the weaknesses right, and you will save a ton of money over a new car, and it will be right. All this cam ****, bearing ****, internal ****, I don't remember any of these things with old windsor engines, and I was in those forums forever still am. Is it an oil thing, or a manu thing? All those old Fords took 30 and 40 weight.

Now it is ten times worse, because it isn't an oil thing or a manu thing, but a serious risk built into di turbo's the future of all trucks, and pre heating fluids all over the place. So think old, as in the last generation, doesn't have to be 70's and ****, just like 10 years maybe 20 years old, and fix it up. 1995/6 f150 maybe 3-4 grand, new 351 windsor with transmision with updates, 12 grand at the most. Maybe drop 3 into suspension, maybe 2k more in wheels, and you are looking at 20 grand that will be bullet proof. Or even 4 gens, pre 8 speed, prces all over the board. There are deals to be had. Get something in that ten grand range, now trans upgrades rfe will cost you, so ouchy on that, but you wont have to replace engine, maybe set aside money for a cam, the same 22-24k will buy a ram instead of a 90's ford, same result, it will be built to last.

Of course keep in mind I live in a state where there is minimul rust issues, but I wouldn't buy new **** again unless it was an HD and unless I was satisdied on the quality. But when you see the same transmison from an aspen in the cummins, I doubt I would opt new. We have to take our collective education about these trucks into consideration before buying and supporting the ******** tech these assholes are putting in these truclks. I'm greatful for everyone's contributions from oil formulations to researching the in and outs of these rams, we have to stop supporting stuff we don't appreciate. I guess the option is buy a lifetime warranty and follow the book to a t and keep records. But my guess there are more holes in those lifetime warranties then we ever know. If you think about it, there is no way they can actually deliver what they say if those warranties were used they way everyone wanted to use them, as in a true lifetime purchase. As in you buy one truck for a lifetime, and expect that warranty will fix anything for your entire life, for what 2500 bucks? I have a real hard time trusting any warranty company like that, that they would be there no matter what ten, twenty, thirty years later.

I have a LubeLocker gasket for my rear diff., as I plan to install a chrome rear diff. cover soon. Yeah, LubeLocker's appear to be of great quality.

Love Lube Locker Gaskets. Used a bunch of different ones made by them on my Fox Body. HIGH quality AMERICAN made gaskets!
