We've done a few and bought most the the handles and parts from Allmoparparts.com and haven't had any issues. So is it not waking up even when you slide your hand between the handle and the truck?
Wow that's kinda strange. I would recommend doing your passenger side handle and then seeing how the truck acts. I know some guys are running the driver's side handle only with no issues but when I re did my wiring and mounted the antennas correctly in my rear doors I noticed that the door handles didn't unlock very well when they only had one side connected. It seemed like it glitched the system a little bit. Maybe that's what you're dealing with now.
Yip. We have been waiting for over a month on our order. Just talked to Benny and he said we are still most likely at least 2 weeks out probably closer to 3. Not sure if the door antennas would work in the cab or not but if I had to guess I would say it's definitely a possibility.
Just went back and double checked and it was 06/11/19. I thought it was on 06/06/19. I was off a couple of days. Definitely been a long time either way . We have the harness made and ready to go for my buddy's Bighorn.
Yip I agree. The waiting sucks. His truck is a 2019 Classic so I'm exited to see how it all works. It will be the first 2019 we have done.
STecoD and I both also use the Tesa 51618 19mm X 25m cloth harness tape. It's pretty much identical to the factory harness tape. There are a lot of knockoffs out there but the Tesa brand seems to be the best we have found. We did also use shielded wire for the push button start but wrapped most of it with Tesa tape as well.
