This literally has nothing to do with tesla style radio but I'm having a serious issue and need all hands on deck.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. As not to mess up this thread please post all comments on my YouTube channel. I seriously honestly appreciate all of you. Thank you for your support.
Adam.

Not 100% certain, but I'm leaning toward a collapsed lifter roller. The tick is the yoke of the lifter banging off the cam. If you get it in soon enough you can replace the lifters only. If it's too far along, you are replacing the lifters and cam as the cam will be slowly shredded up by the lifter yoke.
I did mine last year (lifters) and was lucky enough to not have any cam damage. The lifters on cylinders 1 and 6 were going, so I just did them all. Mine also had the old cracked manifold bolts as well, so it was a knock mixed with a slight whistle. Sounded like a bunch of sparrows started a fight club in my engine compartment. In the end it cost around $6000 Canadian pesos to fix it.
A decent crate engine is nearly $12000 in the great white north, so repair was my only real option if I wanted to keep the truck (which I did).
It's a really hard one to diagnose as the knocking sound bounces and reverbs off of nearly anything in the engine compartment.
Stething it usually doesn't help.
Make a deal with your garage tech, get him to open it up and inspect the lifters and cam, if they are buggered, replace em, if not you will still have to pony up on the hours of diagnostic.
Trying to sell a truck with that noise is pretty well fruitless unless you want to let it go for a song.
Hope any of this helps.
