i'll make couple of phone calls on Monday and see more or less how much would it cost me to have some mounts fabbed and welded with King 2.0 air cans front and rear.

I don't know much about aluminum but I wonder if the LCAs would be able to handle bumps point loading them at full bottom?

Haven't thought about that. Damn it lol
I forgot i had this conversation with Dirt King and prob why they use IBP's in the front.
I'll call Accutune and have that chat again but with a mid travel setup :)

Yea, I could be off the mark and they may be alright, but I do know alot of the builds I've seen that bump lower arms have strike pads that seem to be a bit more reinforced. I'd bet accutune can answer all those things!

How much travel is a mid setup pulling?

Yeah i measured the LCA leverage ratio so it should be around 0.66
No they don't have an specific RAM kit, they can spec anything for it though. They have kits specifics for JK, JL and JT's and also for Tacos.
In our case the shock manufacturer is the one offering a little longer option, King 2.5 CO's are longer than stock same for Fox 2.5, and the Falcon leveling struts. Don't know about Icon or Radflo as they don't list specs. so this are the only 3 shocks i know of that have extended travel in the RAM 1500 application.

Got ya. Have you gotten to mob on the new tune in the kings yet? I imagine the new profile should keep you off the "bump stops" a bit better?

I cry inside a little every time I see yours and revs rig out of envy.... I wanna have the funs!!!

My mom just relocated to Fremont area so maybe I'll have to road trip out there and come try the sand out

Haven't gotten anywhere in the desert to really open her up. So far the experience has been my local offroading spot mainly same place I tore up my front aligment once. Can't go very fast there so tops have been like 45mph or so and not for very long. The new valving can definitely take more abuse. I notice the gliding over big ruts at an angle is even softer than before but I'm actually getting afraid my 37's might be a tad too big for more aggressive driving. I can hear them rubbing when the tires tuck hard in the big ruts at 40-45mph so makes me wonder what's going to happen at 60. I think I definitely need to go back to 315's or get Fiberwerx front fenders.

I'm gonna make a motion that you need to get some go pro footage!

Im sure even with all the bump stops and things properly setup those 37s will find something to munch on, that's alot of tire. Buttttttt THEY LOOK SO GOOD.

That being said, I feel like once you throw glass on the truck it'll be game over and you'll be knocking on the door to go full LT not long after....this is a worm hole hobby and you're riding the thin red line of full boogy.

Got some Mopar skids laying around and the boredom from the Corona chit got the best of me.
I wanted to close some of the openings i had in the truck belly

The transmission is a little more protected now, Though the mopar crossmembers are not exactly heavy duty, but at least better than nothing for now.

The exhaust pipe seems stronger than the crossmember so worst case the lip on the skid will stop there.., hopefully.

Once we get out of the quarantine i'll ponder some more with it and go steel or aluminum plate shopping.

Yep. I used the crossmember that comes with the TC skid and bolted it to the frame so the skid lip could rest against the exhaust pipe . The other end mounts to the oil pan skid, same bolts and everything i just had to shave a small portion on the new skid so those 2 ends could sit flat right there.

Looks good. Honestly that should be more than sufficient for normal use. Peace of mind for the oh chit moments. Obviously you're not gonna drop the truck on it purposely, but those skids are surprisingly strong for what they are. Until you mangle them I say run it like it is! Looks good.

Might need a futomo oil drain now, looks like it may get messy?

The skids are easy to take off, even with the fumoto thing i'll still to take the skids off to get to the oil filter. I may have to curse a bit more than normal next oil change, lol but should be just an extra 3 more min or so and i get to work my abs a little more :)

So i've been doing some more digging looking again to get rid of my Daystar spacers and the JT aftermarket might be the answer one more time. I stumbled on a couple of pics i saw with the JT rear springs from Clayton and the resemblance with my Icon springs was so much i started checking videos and more pics thinking ******** they look like they'll fit.
https://www.claytonoffroad.com/product/jeep-gladiator-25-triple-rate-rear-coil-springs-2020-jt

So i just ordered Clayton 2.5 rear coil springs for the JT, the dudes at Clayton Offroad are just amazing. Not only they list full specs on the stuff they make, i asked them if they could measure the lower opening on one of the coils to see if they'll fit the lower spring perch on my truck, and 5 min later i got their response.
"
Our coil print shows lower opening should be 2.53 +/- .062

Top is 5.060 +/- .062"

They also said I'm free to try them in the RAM, only thing they asked was just to cover the shipping back if they didn't work, but they'll wave the restocking fee. More than happy to try and test them :)

I'm hoping they'll work out, i can't believe how close they're in measurements to what we can fit in our trucks.

I measured my lower Icon perch Icon opening and it seems 2.5"

and on the top side, this is my factory coil rear isolator, so it seems 5" where the spring will seat. more than excited to give this puppies a try.

This is awesome. If this works out you just opened a world of options.

Did you ever track down the spring rate for our rear coils?

Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
Not officially, but we know the TT 1210 springs are 258 lbs/inc and they're supposed to be 25% extra load.
If we trust their numbers, then the stockers should be around 206 lbs/inc

Here is the 4th gen RAM 1500 rear coil spring rate i know so far:
TT 1210: 258 lbs/inch
TT 1211: 319 lbs/inch
TT1223V: 280 lbs (after the first 2" of compression supposedly that's their 2nd rate)
BDS 3": 240lbs/inch
