Wow, you guys have really dug into this issue since I returned my UAX. In Goofy's case is it that his radio came from a truck with a different (set of) camera(s) for reversing view? If so, rather than code the unit down (if that can be done with AlphaOBD?) to what he has, can he upgrade his camera to the better system? That UAX sure has the capability to display every possible input option!

Also - please post up a photo of the blended control system of a 12" screen and your 3-knob temp controls? I would tempted to get a harness and try that out myself!

Right now it's pretty rigged, since I haven't had time to work out a clean looking mounting setup for the Manual controls, so they're just kinda hanging out on the floor under the dash. But i'll get a picture after work.

I see there's video input settings for the radio under the "Radio Navigator Module" however whenever i try to connect to any of the "Radio Navigator Modules" alpha fails to connect. I don't know if i need an adapter harness or a more powerful OBD adapter?

I managed to get the TSB #08-009-19 REV A performed locally after a whole lot of BS... Unfortunately they wouldn't give me a copy of the update to post on the forum here, but this update brought my truck from a very old July 2018 build, to a November 2018 build, and it fixed every single one of my problems. My reverse camera came to life, the sound quality is much improved and no longer way too bassy, the speed limit volume notifications actually stay where i set them instead of resetting to 15 every time i restart the truck, and I have a clock now. Thank god that's taken care of, here's some pics:

And i came up with a decent temporary mounting solution for the Manual climate controls until we can figure out how to convert the truck to ATC.

I was going to have a friend 3D print me a cover for the climate controls so they don't look all incomplete, but with this corona virus lock down i can't really get together with anyone so they can take the measurements they need... But I'll get something eventually, in the meantime they're no longer laying on the floor and they're easily accessible for continued use.

Good work! I like the way it turned out. For the climate knobs down low: the screen handles your fan speed and mode settings without a problem, right? Mine did. So you're down to just one knob you really need, for the temperature. Perhaps you could pull off the two knobs you don't need, remote the PCB nearby, and then use a short piece of rubber tube 9or emissions hose?) to go from a place on that dash (maybe use the simpler lower control unit without the 6 aux power buttons?) you mount the temp knob to the temp switch there on the PCB? Instead of a cover you'd need to mount the temp knob only, maybe easier?

It seems the Manual controls override anything taking place on the touch screen, i'll change the climate control over to dual zone automatic and see what happens.

right, but if you leave everything alone except the temp control, the screen still governs for fan speed and mode, yes? If you change the coding to dual-zone automatic you will kill the function until you set it back to MTC.

I think i tried setting it to Dual zone ATC, but the manual controller continues to override the touch screen. But i'll try it again later.

I switched the truck over to dual zone MTC, and now the touch screen seems to control everything except the temperature like you said.

So setting the climate control to dual zone manual seems to work pretty well, the only thing is using the red and blue buttons isn't reflected on the screen. Also I don't know if it was coincidence but while driving like this I thought I was getting an electrical smell from the vents... Don't know if I should be concerned about that. I'll see what happens tomorrow morning.

I decided to change the climate control to Dual Zone ATC, it seems to work alright in manual mode.

If that shows your temp slider move on the screen as you spin the knob down below then great!

I eliminated the manual control, I'm just running the UAX, and it seems to do OK in manual mode. I'll plug the manual controls back in and see if they do anything while in dual zone auto mode.

Must have been a slow day on the RAM Cares desk. They are now offering support for unsupported radio swaps. :signs8:

Where is Canbus junction box located on 2019 Ram 3500? Under dash somewhere?

As of now another member made me a harness to allow the connection of the in cabin temperature sensor. It's got the auto climate control working much better than without it, however it still behaves strange under certain circumstances. Next component I'm going to add is an ATC light sensor on the dash, apparently the MTC one is different and only runs 2 wires instead of 4.

I'm hoping the new 4 wire sensor may do more than just light and dark and may allow the ATC to factor in the heat from sunlight on the dash.

Would it not have been easier to just buy a truck that has what you want?

$5-6k just to go up to the big horn trim level and that still wouldn't have included the extra $2600 to go up to the UAX screen and $2500 for the advanced safety package that I did have included in my tradesman.

Plus this has given me plenty to keep me occupied after work during quarantine.
