Adc mobile is owned by a guy named Walt. He's a super cool guy and is a straight shooter call him up and chat with him. He did my last truck with a unit like this and I couldn't have been happier.

I got a PX6 12.1 about a month ago. So far support (just for fitment) has been abysmal. Emails take over a week, and forget about calling. No one answers at least for tech support. If you have a center console and not third seat, the piece they included is entirely the wrong shape and causes friction along side poor fit/finish. The adapter included to hold the buttons like heated seats and steering wheel cause the plastic to pinch and the top right button becomes stuck. I have used very little of the radio's interface because I cant complete a successful installation and don't want everything to looks half assed. Just a heads up for those still looking at them!

They're all made in the same Factory...

Linkswell actually has a different factory.. our wiring, hardware, and of course software is all different. Still a China factory of course, but different than Phoenix, Rhino, etc..

That's good to know. If I opened one of your radios would I see a ZXW mainboard?

Looking at some pictures of the Phoenix mainboards online, the heat shield and sticker definitely look similar, but the wiring and components on the board look different.

(Linkswell does still use the PX6, PX3, etc..)

There's definitely differences though. All I know from the company is that we do own our own factory and we are separate, but I'm not sure how much..

Has anyone been able to get the temperature display to work. I know it was mentioned in this thread I don’t recall seeing any answer. When I set mine to display it shows 0c then when I reboot it shows 30c

Android 8.1
10.4” screen size
What year is your truck? I know that on 2015 and older it's usually a challenge to get the Temperature data for that to work.

Hi all,
Wow, I gotta say, this is quite some thread! I've already found a lot of help, but am still struggling with some stuff. Phoenix has been radio silent (pardon the pun) even after several emails asking for help. Maybe it's Covid related, but anyway, maybe the smart folks here can help me with some more stuff. I read a lot of the thread, and tried searching for some of the stuff I'm stuck on, to no avail.

Ok, I have a 2018 Ram 1500 Crew cab. Here's what the original stereo looks like:
dodgeram15002018stereo (1).jpg

I bought [ PX6 SIX-CORE ] 10.4" Android 8.1 Vertical Screen 1 button Navi Radio for Dodge Ram 2013 - 2018 × 1 from Phoenix.

So far so good...

1) The USB cable they gave me is a mirror image of the one they need. I saw, in thread, that someone else had a similar thing happen and they just cut off some plastic. I'd rather have the right cable, does anyone have the right one, and do you think I can press Phoenix to send me one?

2) I have no idea where the end of the AUX cables are in the dash, the Navi came with cables for the AUX inputs, but as far as I can tell, they were not plugged into the stock radio. I assume the other end of them (the AUX port) is in my center console with the USB cables.

3) I have Air Dual turned off in the settings as the truck doesn't have zones, but dual is still on, and an option in the HVAC screen.
20200511_134913.jpg

4) Also, similarly, I have Temp Unit (Uint in the UI, ha!) set to Fahrenheit, but as you can see in the above image, the outside temp shows in Celcius. Any idea how to change that?

5) The on screen gauges don't work. It defaults to having a tachometer and speedometer on the bottom of the screen. Neither of them do anything. I did not buy any OBD add-ons, but the CANBUS should be working, should the meters show up via CANBUS?
The HVAC system works, (via CANBUS, I think) and as you can see below, I get open door notices and the like. Also below is the version info, because I know someone will want that info to help.
20200511_135218.jpg

6) How the heck do I mute it, like if the radio is playing, there's no on screen mute button I can find (I don't have steering wheel controls).

7) I've got a rear camera that displays in the rearview mirror, and have managed to get its signal to the NAVI, but it doesn't switch to it when I go into reverse. I also thought CANBUS would take care of that, but I also see a revers trigger wire (I think I remember it is green). Anyone know where there's a wire I can tap into with that, or some other way to get the reverse camera to pop on when I go into reverse?

8) My reverse camera doesn't show those cool lines to help you line up as you back up. Is there a way to have the NAVI add them?

9) Any advice for packing everything back in the dash? Right now, I've only got the top of the unit latched in, and some of the cables are binding me up trying to get the bottom in, but I can't see what's going on in there. I've not tried terribly hard, just yet as I'd like to finish all the wiring stuff before I try too hard, and I've not yet dealt with the USB (or AUX) wires.

Ok, I'll stop now before I get to double digits. Any and all help would be much appreciated. There's a lot of cool with this thing, if I can just get past the lack of instructions to set it up well.

Thanks,
Lou

So I broke down today and purchased the GEN 4 Linkswell for my Ram. I bought the head unit / tablet, side camera and front camera along with the replacement USB for my benchseat console. I want to add a single DIN DVD and wondering could you install it here. single dvd.JPG

That depends on how deep the DVD player is. Behind that cover you will find the housing for the center console rear AC.

It'll probably fit if it single din...that cavity is sizable if you don't have rear vents. Great place to conceal valuables...

So I am looking at this single din https://www.ebay.com/itm/201342559482 it mounts vertical or horizontal. Its a little over 6 inches in depth. I do have rear vents even tho I have a bench seat with fold up console. The more I look at it the more I think it wont work. Might have to get a dvd changer and install it under the seat

On a second thought, those dvd changers are pricey! $300-400 or so and after buying the gen 4 I might have to re-think it.

Hey Chris, you can save a bunch of money if you just uploaded the movies to the Tesla style radio to the movie folder via USB.
That's what what i did.

The jumpseat comes in two variations. One has a factory cd player. You could also probably swap that out and put the DVD player there instead.

Disclamer: My Knowledge is mostly based on the PX3 models and some of the menu options have changed...

1) The USB cable they gave me is a mirror image of the one they need. I saw, in thread, that someone else had a similar thing happen and they just cut off some plastic. I'd rather have the right cable, does anyone have the right one, and do you think I can press Phoenix to send me one?

A: We talked about this in PM, the cable adapter they sent with the new PX6 to connect the the grey factory USB plug needs to be the mirror image of itself to work. For sure a manufacturing error but I expect many will have this issue until they catch this error at the factory.

2) I have no idea where the end of the AUX cables are in the dash, the Navi came with cables for the AUX inputs, but as far as I can tell, they were not plugged into the stock radio. I assume the other end of them (the AUX port) is in my center console with the USB cables.

A: The AUX Cables for the factory hub are in the factory radio harness. I don't know if the factory AUX connector will work (I don't think it will). Those AUX cables on the Tesla radio are for connecting additional peripherals.

3) I have Air Dual turned off in the settings as the truck doesn't have zones, but dual is still on, and an option in the HVAC screen.

A: That's normal, it's a poor design but you will always see both controls even though only single zone is selected.

4) Also, similarly, I have Temp Unit (Uint in the UI, ha!) set to Fahrenheit, but as you can see in the above image, the outside temp shows in Celcius. Any idea how to change that?

A: In the top menu bar there should be an Icon labeled "Console". Try changing the setting in that menu as well. I do know in other vehicle models this is a known issue that cannot be fixed without programming changes. In addition, if it bothers you there may be an option to remove the outdoor temperature from your display (System Menu -> Temperature display-Show Temp: (on / OFF) def: OFF) . If you already checked the Console menu (that is where you made the initial change), also check the System Menu [Unit System (Metric/US) default:Metric]

A: If the gauges don't work it could be because the theme you have selected is incompatible/less compatible with your model vehicle. Some themes will also break the HVAC controls. If you have the option for different themes try changing them or if you don't care to have the gauges turn them off in the settings menu [System Menu -> Hour speed display-Show Speed: (on / OFF) def: on]

6) How the heck do I mute it, like if the radio is playing, there's no on screen mute button I can find (I don't have steering wheel controls).

A: I'm not sure I'm remembering correctly but I think you just press and hold and/or tap the numbers that indicate the volume level (I could be completely misremembering this though).

A: I'm not sure on this one. I know there are others in the forum who have helped people do this on factory systems though. I'd search the forum for relocating the video signal from the mirror to the radio. I know there is a specific thread discussing this I just don't have the link. @Mpgrimm2 might have a harness that makes this easier or can point you in the right direction.

8) My reverse camera doesn't show those cool lines to help you line up as you back up. Is there a way to have the NAVI add them?

A: The radio has it's own lines you can activate. It should be under the System Menu -> Reverse path-Parking Guideline: (on / OFF) def: on. In addition, they may still have two different types to select from in System Menu -> Reverse track line-Parking guideline: (NEW LINE/OLD LINE) def: NEW LINE

A: It was always a tangle of wires but it should all fit without modification (unless the changed the design which they have without calling it something new). If things are hitting the metal frame on you truck it may be necessary to cut out the cross member with a Dremel.

Well... I’m going a bit nuts (of boredom) and am thinking of giving this a try. It’s a px5 board (the seller also sells px30). If my research serves me right... all that should be needed is a swap and a flash of a compatible ROM for the chip. MCU should be untouched so all should work the same... thoughts??

If you are talking about upgrading a PX3 to a PX5 I don't believe there is an upgrade path. The board you referenced doesn't look anything like either of the PX3 boards and the mainboard does contain the MCU if I remember correctly.
