c+ is the appropriate fluid for rfe, d4 is for manual transmissions, this is what redline paper is on d4. It may work fine, but then again c+ is formulated for automatic transmissions and is the at4 replacement.12 is 6 speed. I went with a mopar filter kit. Summit has a Mopar kit that is just in a different box same thing and then I used Red line D4-ATF. I also just added Lubeguard shutter guard and man it shifts like a dream.
I had to look it up, I thought Corey had a choice between 6 speed or 8 speed in 2012, but I forget.2012 Ram 1500 has the 65RFE
2013 Ram 1500 was the start of the 8HP70
I'm late for the ball game again.......LoL
When I did my order at summit that is what it called for in terms of automatic transmission fluid. Its been in it now 2k miles and no issues what so ever. It honestly shifts smoother then it did with the mopar fluid.c+ is the appropriate fluid for rfe, d4 is for manual transmissions, this is what redline paper is on d4. It may work fine, but then again c+ is formulated for automatic transmissions and is the at4 replacement.
- Appropriate coefficient of friction for most manual transmission synchronizers (other's synthetic gear oils are often too slippery for proper synchro engagement)
So I was wrong. I just looked at my Summit recite sorry. Its C-ATF... Sorry I am on very little sleep.
We even had this conversation via PM... I really need some sleep. coffee isn't cutting it today.
6 speedWhich transmission? 8 gears or 6 r less gears?
read all info posted, it is for your transmission. It is much easier to drop and service your transmission then the 8 speed, by magnitudes.6 speed
